Kate, 43, wore one of her white dresses with black polka dots from Alessandra Rich for today's solemn occasion.
The Princess of Wales made a poignant appearance at Westminster Abbey on Thursday afternoon, joining Prince William and other royals for a Service of Thanksgiving marking the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
The elegant ensemble was a rewear from the Order of the Garter service in June 2023.

However, in 2022, the Princess of Wales wore a different Alessandra Rich polka dot dress to Royal Ascot.
That particular outfit mirrored Diana's Victor Edelstein ensemble at the 1986 Epsom Derby.
The fashion incident sparked a fan frenzy at the time over the need for two nearly identical dresses from the same designer.
Speaking to the Telegraph, Rich previously said: “All my pieces are like this - they cover the arms or the legs but there’s always a split somewhere, or a body chain underneath. It is good to be a bit naughty.”

She also previously told Tatler: “I’m drawn to history's polite rebels, such as Princess Diana, and I want to embody that spirit in the Alessandra Rich woman.”
Today's outfit by Kate bore a striking similarity to Princess Diana's look at Royal Ascot in 1988.
Kate has increasingly opted to rewear pieces from her wardrobe, keeping public focus on her work rather than her fashion choices.
The polka dot motif has become something of a signature for Kate when paying tribute to Diana's enduring fashion legacy.

Diana was known for her frequent use of polka dots during her time as a working royal. Kate has referenced this signature style on multiple occasions throughout her royal career.
The mother-of-three became Princess of Wales in September 2022, a title most closely associated with Diana.
A Palace source told People magazine that Kate "appreciates the history associated with this role, but will understandably want to look to the future as she creates her own path."
Fashion expert Bethan Holt has offered insight into Kate's Diana-inspired fashion choices.

"I think we have seen lots of examples where the reference is very intentional, and I think that Kate uses fashion to pay tribute to Diana in a very positive way," Holt told People.
She suggested the tributes might be a joint decision between the royal couple: "I think that William and Kate, between them, might have decided that, actually, on some occasions, it's a really nice thing for Kate to reference the fact that Diana is still a fashion muse today."
Importantly, Holt noted that Kate avoids direct imitation: "She's not doing an '80s power shoulder or a puff ball skirt, she's making it look sleeker and more contemporary. She makes it her own without looking like she's playing 'dress up as Diana.'"
