Princess Kate broke with tradition during her outing at the Wimbledon Ladies' Final and "honoured her personal journey" in the process, a jewellery commentator has exclusively told GB News.
The Princess of Wales began replacing her sapphire engagement ring with an eternity ring when stepping out on royal engagements last year.
This period coincided with Kate undergoing a course of preventative chemotherapy for cancer.
On some occasions, the future Queen did wear her iconic engagement ring, which previously belonged to Princess Diana, but she would never wear the two rings at the same time.

However, Kate, 43, did join the two rings together for the first time last weekend, alongside an eternity ring she already owned and her gold wedding band.
Tobias Kormind, the managing director of 77 Diamonds, spoke exclusively to GB News about why the Princess of Wales chose to stack her jewellery and its symbolism.
He said: "At the 2025 Wimbledon Women's Singles final, the Princess of Wales subtly honoured her personal journey with a sentimental four-ring stack.
"She wore her iconic sapphire and diamond engagement ring, once belonging to Diana Princess of Wales, alongside her traditional Welsh gold wedding band, a diamond eternity band believed to be a gift from Prince William after the birth of Prince George and a second diamond and sapphire eternity ring thought to have been given as a gift from her husband to mark their 13th wedding anniversary.
"Whilst she has worn various combinations of the rings in the past, this is the first time that Kate has worn all four publicly together."
Kormind added: "The stack not only reflects key milestones in her life but also taps into the current trend of layered, personalised jewellery that combines sentiment with style.
"In doing so, the Princess of Wales once again added a modern touch to her refined look."
Princess Kate paired her jewellery with a bespoke cream dress from Self-Portrait.
