Prince William and Princess Kate arrived at the King's traditional pre-Christmas gathering on Tuesday, accompanied by their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, as well as an unexpected guest.
The family brought along their long-serving nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo.
Photographs captured Maria Teresa seated in the rear of the vehicle with Charlotte and Louis as they made their way to the annual royal lunch.
Her presence marked a rare public appearance for the typically camera-shy nanny.

Maria Teresa joined the Wales household in 2014, when Prince George was merely eight months old, meaning she has now served the family for more than a decade.
She trained at Norland College, the prestigious institution renowned for producing childcare professionals who frequently go on to work for royal families and celebrity clients.
The couple has maintained strict privacy around their nanny's role, with their sole public statement on the matter confirming her appointment.
"We will not be giving further details on Maria or her employment, except to say that the duke and duchess are of course delighted she has chosen to join them," the announcement read.

Despite typically avoiding the spotlight, Maria Teresa has been pictured at several significant family occasions over the years.
She was photographed supervising the young royals at the 2017 wedding of the Princess of Wales's sister, Pippa Middleton, to James Matthews.
The nanny was also present to look after the children when Prince Harry married Meghan Markle the following year.
At the 2023 Trooping the Colour ceremony, she was observed using her mobile phone to capture images of Catherine and the three children as they prepared to board their royal carriage before the procession began.

In his book Gilded Youth, royal biographer Tom Quinn offered insight into Maria Teresa's role within the household.
One insider quoted in the publication described her as efficient, skilled with children, and someone who appreciates the "antiquarian" aspects of her position.
A separate source told Quinn that the Spanish nanny possesses high intelligence, considerable patience, and a natural instinct for childcare.
Quinn wrote that while the Princess of Wales would prefer to spend most of her time with her children like any ordinary mother, "the huge pressure of royal tradition cannot be ignored."
