Princess Kate and King Charles have surged in popularity after their health problems, according to new research.

The Prince and Princess of Wales remain the most popular members of the Royal Family, with a 62 per cent and 61 per cent approval rating respectively.


Ipsos released their polling on the popularity of Royal Family members today.

The results for January 2024 show a boost in popularity almost across the board.

However, this was not the case for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who are both down seven per cent and five per cent respectively compared to July 2023.

In third place after Kate and William, Princess Anne was listed with a 56 per cent approval rating.

Meanwhile, King Charles came in fourth place with a 50 per cent approval rating.

Kate, 42, and the King, 75, both received a three per cent increase from July 2023 to January 2024.

The Princess of Wales and the monarch have undergone health problems recently, but according to the data, their popularity has only grown.​

Kate was hospitalised for "planned abdominal surgery" on January 16 and spent a further 13 days inside The London Clinic to recuperate.

King Charles was also admitted to The London Clinic, however, he underwent corrective surgery for an enlarged prostate.

The 75-year-old only spent three nights in hospital before being discharged.

On Sunday, the monarch walked with his wife, Queen Camilla, to attend church on the Sandringham Estate.

On the other hand, Princess Kate returned to Adelaide Cottage to recover and has not been seen since her operation.

The Ipsos data also charts what percentage of Britons believe King Charles is doing a good job.

Over half believe he is, while just nine per cent think the monarch is doing a bad job.
