Kate has been recovering from abdominal surgery

GB News presenter Camilla Tominey has slapped down “mad conspiracy theories” surrounding Princess Kate’s whereabouts.

Kate has been recovering from abdominal surgery which has seen her out of action since January.

Her absence has led to wild conspiracy theories on social media regarding her whereabouts and health.

Speaking on GB News, Camilla said Kate’s lack of time in the public eye in recent months is “really quite straightforward”.

“Can I just clear something up here for everybody here? It really is quite straightforward”, she said.

“Back in January, the Princess of Wales had a major operation. It was so major, she was requited to stay in the London Clinic for 13 nights.

LATEST ROYAL NEWS:

“Anyone that’s been in hospital for just a few nights knows that’s a very big stretch of time.

“Admittedly, the Palace haven’t told us exactly what she’s done apart from she’s had abdominal surgery.

“They did say that she would be recuperating until at least Easter at the earliest.

“The reason we haven’t seen her is because she is recovering at home. She lives in a place called Adelaide Cottage, which is on the Windsor Great Park Estate. That is what she is doing.

“I can’t quite understand all of these mad conspiracy theories flying around the internet like she’s been abducted by aliens or moved to the Outer Hebrides.

“It’s all nonsense, as is most of the stuff on social media.”

Camilla went on to “reassure” GB News viewers as she called on people to show more understanding for Kate’s situation.

“Next Sunday, she might join the royals at the Church for Easter Sunday”, she said.

“Let’s just hope she is okay. That’s my personal view on it.

“She’s a young woman. She’s a mum of three. She’s had a major op. Let’s just let her recover in peace.”

The future Queen has been photographed in public twice since her operation.

In a picture published on March 4, she was a front-seat passenger in a car driven by her mother, Carole Middleton, in the Windsor area.

She was also spotted sitting next to William in a chauffeur-driven car last Monday, when he attended the Commonwealth Day service in London and she was driven to a private appointment.
