The fashion commentator characterised Kate’s new look as "long, tumbling Sleeping Beauty style curls in a golden hue".
More than embodying the romantic ideal of a princess, Macleod also felt the Princess of Wales' new blonde locks called back to her youth.
"While Princess Kate has never been this blonde before, this ultra-long, voluminous look reminds me of her younger years, back when she was simply Kate Middleton," she told the magazine.
Beyond the personal triumph of Kate’s new look, Macleod declared the new style could be an inspiration for women of a similar age to the Princess.

"There's endless rhetoric over whether women over 40 can have long hair, and Princess Kate proves unequivocally, yes," the commentator celebrated.
Kate complemented her new golden curls with a tweed blazer in earthy brown tones over a white blouse. She also wore dark green ankle-length cut trousers with a black belt, featuring a gold buckle.
Her look was completed with brown suede flats with tassel detailing and drop earrings.
William, beside her, opted for a dark suit and sky-blue shirt as they beamed on the steps of the Natural History Museum.
