Jennie Bond said Omid Scobie's latest royal book is a 'load of old tosh'

Royal commentator Jennie Bond has blasted biographer Omid Scobie, following the release of his latest royal book today.

Endgame, the second book by Scobie following his 2020 release Finding Freedom, has unveiled several new allegations against the Royal Family, targeting senior members including the King, Prince William and Princess Kate.

Scobie has alleged a "small scale rivalry" between King Charles and son Prince William, and claims William believes King Charles is "incompetent" as monarch.

The biographer and unofficial mouthpiece for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has also hit out at the Princess of Wales, branding her a "part time royal" and "lazy" in her duties.

The most controversial allegations in the book involve Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their son Prince Archie.

In the book, it is alleged that "two members of the royal household" had sparked conversations about the "colour of Archie's skin" whilst Meghan was pregnant.

The accusation was first brought to light in 2021, when Meghan told Oprah Winfrey in the couple's bombshell televised interview that "one" member of the royal family had sparked the conversation about their unborn child.

Meghan told Oprah there were "concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born".

Reacting to the fresh allegation in Endgame, commentator Jennie Bond told GB News that Scobie's claims are "a load of old tosh".

Bond raged: "This one I think is just nasty. Calling Catherine cold, a Stepford wife, this really riled me, suggesting that Catherine's small, to quote, achievements were exaggerated by the public and that we all go wow when she does something. That's just unkind and untrue.

"Catherine's achievements are by no means small. She's done a great deal, particularly the early development campaign that she is fronting. And as for the snide allegation that she's a part time royal because she spends time with her young children. Well, good for Catherine and I say, it's absolutely excellent if you can.

"She works hard as well. She does a lot of royal engagements as we see. She's always on the front pages."

Presenter Emily Carver then highlighted the royal race claim, highlighting Scobie's suggestion that there are now "two royal racists".

Bond responded: "Of course you're talking about Omid, but Harry has said that they never used the word racist. And that's true, they didn't. But on this issue of people questioning the tone of their unborn son, I think honestly it is time you put up or you shut up.

"Omid Scobie suggests that he can't name anybody because of legal reasons. I don't think I can't see that's the case. So I think again it's masked in secrecy and it just leaves a very nasty taste in everyone's mouth.

"And I think if they felt so strongly about it, then they should name these individuals. And in any case, frankly, if they were just saying, I wonder what the tone of this baby's skin is going to be, what if they said I wonder if it's going to be a ginger? I mean, people might have said that!"
