GB News presenter and Tory MP Jacob Rees-Mogg has shared his support for Prince Harry, after new bombshell legislation is set to be proposed this week in a bid to strip him and Meghan Markle of their royal titles.
Isle of Wight MP Bob Seely has proposed an adaptation of laws originally passed in the First World War, which would deny the Duke and Duchess of Sussex their standing titles.
The new proposal comes a week after the publication of Omid Scobie's second royal book Endgame, in which several claims and allegations were made against the Royal Family.
Seely called the allegations "poisonously insidious", and said he had to act on the latest attempt to smear the monarchy.
Jacob Rees-Mogg claims Britain would 'welcome Prince Harry back like the Prodigal Son'

The Conservative MP urged the House of Commons to consider the “nuclear option” of denying the royal couple their titles, amid the most controversial claim made in the book involving two senior royals and "racist conversations".
It is alleged that two members of the Royal Family "speculated about the skin colour of Prince Archie" before he was born - an allegation first brought to light in Harry and Meghan's televised interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
Jacob Rees-Mogg was joined by royal biographer Angela Levin, as they discussed the proposed bill and the relations within the Royal Family.
Levin stated that King Charles would "always leave the door open" for Prince Harry, despite everything that's happened and wife Meghan's "dramatics".
Jacob said: "That's probably true of the country at large, isn't it?
"That if he were to come back, it would be like the prodigal son and that the country would go out to welcome him, as long as he came back in the way the prodigal son did, with humility and asking the nation to take him back into their arms."
Levin disagreed with Jacob, claiming: "I think it would be very hard for him to get the nation to like him. I think because of what he said about his father, the lies he's told, I think he's remembered everything from a small age. William got one more sausage than him and he's very annoyed about it.
"But you know, all those tiny little things that annoyed him have grown enormously over time. And I think he won't be able to change back into the lovely Harry."Prince Harry is currently facing his latest legal challenge against the High Court over his UK security

Levin then revealed: "When I interviewed him for my biography of him, he was charming, he was wonderful with people and really happy. Although he had said he'd might like to move on, but he wanted to stay there for the Queen.
"But I think it would take a long time for us Brits to forgive him, how he's been so awful about his parent and his brother and sister-in-law."Jacob then argued: "But shouldn't those of us, like the two of us who love the monarchy and everything that it stands for, want to be generous and not vindictive and therefore we don't actually want to take his title away?
"We regret that he's behaving like this and that these stories are coming out, but we don't want to add fuel to the fire. We want things to calm down and that requires a degree of generosity."
Levin initially agreed, but also made clear: "Yes, I think that's absolutely right. But I think there's a big difference between an act of generosity and what you feel in your heart when somebody has really hurt someone that you respect and care about and you think work very hard."
