Sarah Ferguson has issued a heartfelt statement to mark World Humanitarian Day.
The Duchess of York highlighted the Sarah Trust’s work in bringing essential supplies to NHS workers and building 57 schools as some of her proudest achievements.
Ferguson said: “Today on World Humanitarian Day, I’m filled with gratitude and hope.
“Over the decades, we’ve delivered aid to Afghan and Ukrainian refugees, brought essential supplies to NHS workers through @sarahs_trust_ and championed education for children via Children in Crisis educating over 1.4 million children and building 57 schools.
The Duchess of York highlighted the Sarah Trust’s work in bringing essential supplies to NHS workers and building 57 schools as some of her proudest achievements.
|“As I stand alongside inspiring young activists through @glblctzn and the @youthimpactcouncil, I’m reminded of one simple truth: that small acts of kindness can spark extraordinary change.
“My wish for the future? That we all become bridges between generations, communities and dreams.
“So together, let’s continue to offer compassion, lift up young voices, and nurture a more hopeful, and inclusive world for all.”
Sarah Trust describes itself as a “vital bridge between individuals whose social responsibility and financial ability enables them to give philanthropically, and charities who can show that these funds will be directed exactly where they are needed most.”
Since its launch, the organisation has supported over 40 organisations and made an impact in over 25 countries.

It outlines its mission as being to “create impactful and sustainable change for forgotten families and communities around the world. We seek out action-centred and evidence-based NGOs, mostly at grass-roots level and award grants as well as practical support”.
Last week, Sarah Ferguson revealed her "hope for the future" as she marked another important milestone.
Alongside a carousel of images, Fergie shared her warm tribute to International Youth Day.
She wrote: "Over the years, I’ve seen first-hand the brilliance and determination of young people all around the world.
"From classrooms to community projects, I’ve met so many remarkable individuals whose creativity, energy, and drive inspire such hope for the future.
"Your actions, no matter how big or small they feel, truly make a difference. Today, we celebrate YOU".
