A nodule, which is a firm lump or swelling that can develop throughout the body, can be benign and harmless.
Some can be associated with bigger health concerns like infections or cancer.
Biden stepped down from his re-election campaign due to questions over his age, health and fitness.
The then-Vice President Kamala Harris, 60, took over as the Democratic candidate before ultimately losing to Donald Trump in November 2024.
