US President Donald Trump is "under pressure" after facing tense talks in the White House with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, an expert has claimed.
The newly elected Canadian premier met with President Trump at the White House for their first official talks since his electoral victory.
During their meeting in front of the press, Trump was asked if he would still consider making Canada America's "51st state", to which he claimed it "takes two to tango".
Shutting down the President's remarks, Carney told Trump that Canada is "not for sale", and will "never be for sale".
Laura Lee Notson claimed Donald Trump is now 'under pressure' following tense talks with Mark Carney

Trump told reporters: "I still believe it, but it takes two to tango right? I believe it would be a massive tax cut for the Canadian citizens, free military, tremendous medical care and other things. There would be a lot of advantages, and there would be a massive tax cut."
Carney hit back, stating: "As you know from real estate, there are some places that are never for sale. We're sitting in one right now. Buckingham Palace that you visited as well, and having met with the owners of Canada over the course of the campaign over the last several months, it's not for sale. It won't be for sale, ever."
Discussing the tense interaction on GB News, Republican commentator Laura Lee Notson told Martin Daubney that the Canadians "clearly don't want to tango".
She explained: "I think on that topic, Trump was very vocal. He said it takes two to tango, and it was clear, Mark Carney doesn't tango and the Canadians don't want to tango.

"So, I think that's clear. They're not going to be the 51st state."
Recalling Trump's "playful" gesture towards Carney, touching his leg, Notson claimed that the President is "feeling pressure" to deliver on a deal with Canada.
Notson said: "I thought it was interesting the way Trump tapped his leg in a playful way that friends do, to say, wait and listen to what I'm going to say.
"And the fact that Trump had to talk about all of his wins elsewhere tells me that Trump is under a bit of pressure, most likely from corporate titans from the market."
Notson told GB News that any deal will result in a 'difficult conversation' between the world leaders

Highlighting the pending deal between the two nations, Notson concluded: "Markets need certainty. They need to know what's going to come of this deal.
"And I think it's going to be a difficult discussion, which is why we didn't hear much about it today."
Remaining optimistic for the future relationship between US and Canada, Carney told Trump: "But the opportunity is in the partnership and what we can build together, and we have done that in the past.
"And part of that, as the President just said, is with respect to our own security, and my government is committed for a step change in our investment in Canadian security and our partnership."
