Palestinians accepting relocation would receive additional support beyond the initial payment

Donald Trump has developed a proposal offering Palestinians $5,000 each to depart Gaza, whilst the United States assumes control of the territory for a decade.

The scheme forms part of a 38-page document, seen by The Washington Post, that is currently being reviewed at the White House by the administration.

Under the plan, the entire population of two million Palestinians would be relocated through what officials describe as "voluntary" departures.

Residents would move either to other nations or to designated secure areas within the territory.

Human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell told GB News: "$5,000 is insulting blood money.

"It would barely cover relocation and living costs for two years, let alone 10.

"It is a non-starter because Gazans do not want to leave their homeland.

"They know that once they leave they are unlikely to ever be allowed back, as happened to Palestinians who fled Israel after 1948."

The initiative, titled the Gaza Reconstitution, Economic Acceleration and Transformation Trust, envisions converting the war-torn region into an upmarket tourist destination and technology centre.

Palestinians would receive digital tokens in exchange for relinquishing their land rights.

The proposals are expected to generate significant concern amongst America's allies in the region.

They detail the creation of between six and eight technologically advanced urban centres powered by artificial intelligence.

These developments would feature residential towers reaching 20 floors, complemented by recreational facilities including golf courses and coastal luxury resorts.

Palestinians accepting relocation would receive additional support beyond the initial payment under the plans, including rental assistance covering four years of accommodation and provisions for 12 months of food expenses.

The land tokens acquired from residents would grant the American-administered trust development rights over their former properties.

Revenue generated from these developments would fund either emigrants' lives abroad or future accommodation in the proposed new cities.

The blueprint reveals plans for major infrastructure projects, including motorways named after regional leaders.

One proposed route honours Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, whilst another recognises UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan.

Arab nations have presented contrasting reconstruction plans that maintain Palestinian presence in Gaza.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE have pledged £39billion towards an "Egypt plan" proposing Gaza's reconstruction within five years, featuring modern infrastructure without population displacement.

Boston Consulting Group reportedly drafted the reconstruction blueprint in April, led by Israeli-American Michael Eisenberg and former Israeli intelligence officer Liran Tancman.

Donald Trump recently hosted Sir Tony Blair at the White House to discuss options for Gaza reconstruction.

Mr Blair serves as an adviser to Steve Witkoff, Trump's Middle East representative, while the Tony Blair Institute has conducted surveys indicating that Gazans favour a transformation similar to the United Arab Emirates model.
