Donald Trump's proposed ban on "obese foreigners" wishing to obtain a US visa has sparked an intense clash on GB News, as former Fat Families presenter Steve Miller argued that the move is "common sense".
Debating the latest ban by the US President, body positivity influencer George Keywood disagreed with Mr Miller and argued that the policy is "absolute nonsense".
The pair came to blows over US President Donald Trump's new directive to ban obese foreigners or people with diabetes looking to live in the US from obtaining visas.
The new guidelines instruct visa officers to reject applicants who may be eligible for public benefits as part of the President's hardline crackdown on immigration, to prevent people becoming "dependent on benefits" and "draining the US resources".

George Keywood and Steve Miller came to blows over Donald Trump's ban on 'obese' foreigners

Backing Mr Trump's ban, Mr Miller told GB News: "I think this is great. I think this is Trump using common sense, this is Trump putting his country first, and wouldn't that be a breath of fresh air if we had it in the UK?
"It is a common sense factor because the likelihood is, is that they're going to cost your country a lot of money. And let's face it, the taxpayer is already under under stress, the NHS is knackered. Do you know how much it costs per year to look after someone with diabetes? It costs up to £3,000 a year.
"So we're bust, we can't afford it. Trump's policy is something absolutely we should adopt. It's common sense, and I think most British people would agree."
Hitting back at Mr Miller, Mr Keywood argued: "It's absolute nonsense, isn't it? Jesus Christ, are we getting to the point where we're saying that fat people can't go into a country? It's just absolutely ludicrous, I pay enough tax in this country. I contribute my fair share and I shouldn't be allowed to go into another country, why not?

Donald Trump has issued a new directive to ban obese foreigners or people with diabetes looking to live in the US from obtaining visas
| REUTERS"All I'm going to do is go there and make more money and pay more tax for them, so I don't understand why it's always got to be a bad image in the way that somebody looks, which dictates whether or not they're allowed to go somewhere."
He fumed: "There's a problem with people having an issue with people that are fat, because they don't like the fact that people don't care about what they eat. They don't like the fact that every skinny person out there is worried about what they eat all the time, whereas us fat people don't care."
Mr Miller responded: "George, you need a large helping on your plate of common sense. It is common sense that if someone is too fat and someone comes into my country with diabetes or other health related conditions, that they are going to potentially put a strain on the NHS, and a 2019 report and study totally agrees with me.
"You're going to cost the country money over there if you are obese, that is fact, that is reality. And what Trump is saying is actually, I'm putting my country first, I'm putting my taxpayers first. I'm not going to allow people coming into this country to drain my system. Bring into the country radiators, not drains."

Doubling down on his argument, Mr Keywood retorted: "The country is falling apart as it is, mate. Look at the state of it out there, it's absolutely ludicrous. The guy has destroyed that country. You think he cares about that country?
"He's a despicable human being. I don't know how anybody can sit here and say that he is a good person."
Intervening in the debate, host Nana Akua told Mr Keywood: "I think at the end of the day, they've got a lot of people over in his own country that are obese anyway. Obesity is not great for your health, that's the bottom line. I think that's the point he's trying to make."
Mr Miller interjected Nana, exclaiming: "Love you, George!"
