The UK has signed an £8billion deal with Turkey to supply 20 new Typhoon fighter jets.
The Prime Minister visited Ankara for the first time today, where he described the deal as "a win for British workers, a win for our defence industry, and a win for Nato security".
It is the first new order for UK Typhoons since 2017 and the largest in two decades.
The Government say that the deal will help to sustain a 20,000-strong UK-wide workforce, with production lines in Edinburgh, Warton, Salmesbury and Bristol.

The deal is the biggest fighter jet deal in almost 20 years.
Turkey is seen as a key region for the UK, with its military vital to Nato's strength due to their eastern location in Europe.
The deal comes just weeks after Norway selected the UK’s Type 26 frigates.
The Government claims that a further £10billion was added to Britain’s economy and that 4,000 jobs were secured.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister Keir Starmer said: "This landmark agreement with Türkiye is a win for British workers, a win for our defence industry, and a win for Nato security.
"At either ends of Europe, the UK and Türkiye are vital to tackling the challenges of our time and this will allow our Armed Forces to work even closer together as we deter threats and protect our national interests.
"Delivering highly skilled, well-paid jobs, including in Warton, Edinburgh and Bristol for years to come, this is yet another example of our Plan for Change in action, driving renewal and opportunity up and down the country."
In July, Defence Secretary John Healey signed a memorandum of understanding with his Turkish counterpart paving the way for the export deal after Germany reportedly signed up to the agreement.

The jets, also known as Eurofighters, are produced in a partnership between the UK, Germany, Spain and Italy.
Around 37 per cent of the production takes place in the UK, including final assembly at BAE Systems plants in Warton and Samlesbury, near Preston, Lancashire.
Downing Street said the Typhoon programme directly supported nearly 6,000 jobs at the two plants, with Monday’s deal saving the Warton production line.
The programme also supported more than 1,100 jobs in the South West of England, including at the Rolls-Royce plant in Bristol, and 800 jobs in Scotland.

Mr Healey said: "This is another major export deal for the UK and is the biggest jet export deal in a generation.
"It will pump billions of pounds into our economy and keep British Typhoon production lines turning long into the future.
"This deal goes far beyond the procurement of aircraft.
"It is the leading edge of the growing defence and industrial partnership between our two nations.”

Previous reporting suggested the UK would agree to provide 40 jets, rather than the 20 announced

Previous reporting suggested the UK would agree to provide 40 jets, rather than the 20 announced.
The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said 20 jets were "still a significant number" and it was "a decision for the Turks in terms of future orders based on their operational requirements".
The first delivery of the new jets is expected to take place in 2030.
During his visit, the Prime Minister laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, founder of the modern Turkish Republic, before finalising the Typhoon deal at the presidential palace in Ankara.
