Director of the Centre for Migration Steven Woolfe has launched a blistering attack on the UK-EU reset deal, branding it a "scam" and a "lie" that serves "the interests of elites" whilst ignoring ordinary Britons.
Speaking to GB News, Woolfe expressed fury over the agreement struck between Prime Minister Keir Starmer and EU leaders, which was announced yesterday at London's Lancaster House.
The deal, which includes provisions on defence, agricultural trade and fishing rights, has been hailed by the Government as a "win-win" that will add nearly £9 billion to the economy by 2040.
However, Woolfe dismissed these claims as "absolute nonsense" in an unusual emotional outburst.

He told GB News: "I think this is a fantastic day for hedge funds and large corporations that back companies in this country, mainly US and multinational firms that want low-skilled workers being paid low-skilled wages.
"It’s a great day for those people who hate democracy and love the EU, particularly those in our big cities, because Starmer’s giving them an extra 50 minutes of savings while they go on holiday, skipping the queues and lines to get into those countries.

"But it’s also a bad day for those people who believe in our democracy, because a proverbial single finger is being put up to the poor, the working class, those who demanded change in this country.
"As for this argument that we’re going to get lower food prices poppycock. Absolute nonsense.
"Inflation on food in the EU has been higher over the past five years than in the UK, and that’s been driven by international demand and very high energy costs which this government is making worse.
"All in all, this is a scam. It’s a lie. I’m generally regarded as being very calm, but this is making me furious.
"Once again, we’re seeing a political elite looking after themselves, saying ‘I’m taking care of my own,’ and ignoring the people of this country.
"Nothing good is coming out of this. Darren Jones says we’re going to get £20 to £46 billion a year. That’s less than half of what we’re spending on immigration hotels in a single year."
The reset deal, signed by Starmer alongside EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa, includes a defence and security pact allowing Britain to participate in joint procurement.
It also aims to reduce red tape for agricultural producers and includes a contentious new fishing agreement extending reciprocal access to waters until 2038.

The agreement will enable British visitors to use faster e-gates at EU airports and outlines a limited youth mobility scheme.
According to the government, the deal will improve energy security and add approximately £12 billion to the economy by 2040.
Relations between Britain and the EU had been strained since Brexit, but collaboration over Ukraine has helped rebuild trust.
