Former Reform UK candidate Mark Hoath has hailed a "fantastic night" for Nigel Farage's party, claiming that voters in Britain are "turning their backs" on Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
Just six votes separated Reform UK and Labour as Sarah Pochin was elected to Parliament in the Runcorn & Helsby by-election - making her the party's first female MP.
Following her victory, Pochin declared that "the people of Runcorn have spoken, and "enough is enough".
Throwing his support behind the party, ex-candidate Mark Hoath praised the "fantastic" election night proceedings, and claimed the "momentum is with us now".

Speaking to GB News, Hoath said: "I think it's been a fantastic night for us. I'm a bit bleary eyed this morning, it was a late night staying up to see us take Runcorn, which was fantastic. But it's not just Runcorn.
"It's all very well for them to say they expect us to win Runcorn - we got a 28 per cent swing in North Tyneside, and the whole momentum is with us now."
Hitting out at Keir Starmer, Hoath claimed that voters are now starting to "turn their backs" on him and the Labour Government, and their engagement towards the party has changed.
Hoath explained: "People are just turning their backs on Starmer. How less engaged that audience were at the press conference today, that's the attitude of the British people when it comes to Starmer.

Highlighting Labour's "lies" to Britons, Hoath emphasised that voters are now "seeing through them" and noted that people are now "ignoring him", as they no longer believe what he says.
Hoath told GB News: "What we've seen over this campaign is a smear tactic by Starmer, making complete lies about the NHS, for example, and our stance on the NHS, and frankly, people have ignored him.
"Our stance is that it needs reform and it needs to be free at the point of use - and that was on our manifesto in the election last year. It's still our policy, and it's just ridiculous for them to try and slander and send out leaflets with bills on saying 'this is how much a hip operation will cost' - it's just blatant lying."

He added: "What's happening now, as you see, is people are seeing through these lies and they're just ignoring him.
"And that's what happened last night, and it's going to continue to happen."
Remaining optimistic the ongoing success of Reform UK, Hoath declared that the party will "continue to grow", as their candidates ran a "really good campaign".
He concluded: "We're going to continue to grow, because our candidates ran a really good campaign."
