Reform UK is expected to surge to second place in the polls, supplanting the Tories and putting them on course to become the opposition party to the next Government.
Nigel Farage has previously expressed his ambitions to become the “voice of opposition” to what he believes will be Keir Starmer’s Labour Government.
The recently appointed Reform UK leader told LBC that the election was all but over.
“Labour have won,” he said. “The Tories will probably hate each other even more in opposition than they do in Government.
“And we're going to be a very clear voice of opposition for those who don't like what is offered by the London metropolitan elite.”

The comments came ahead of a political forecast by GB News’ Christopher Hope who suggested a monumental shift towards Reform UK in the polls.
Speaking in an exclusive video for GB News members, Christopher said: “Big moments possibly this weekend.
“Are we about to see something happen which you haven't seen for a long time? A different party going to second place in the polls to the Conservatives.
“Normally the Labour and Tory parties vie for the biggest parties according to the polling, but we might be seeing what's known as crossover this weekend or in the next few days.
POLL OF THE DAY: Do you think Reform can become Britain’s second-biggest party?
PA“That is when Reform UK. That's right, the party, now fronted by Nigel Farage as leader, crosses over and becomes the second biggest party behind the Labour Party, miles ahead in the polls.
“I say that because the YouGov poll has given Reform UK 17 points in the polls, the Tory Party 19 points and Labour a massive 40 points.
“That was a poll by YouGov of 2,000 people this week.
“This is down to, I think many people agree with me. The Farage effect. Yes, it's that man again. He can move the dial on politics, he can move the dial for the Reform UK party.
“The question now is, and it'll be a bad one for the Tory party if it happens, will Reform become the second-biggest party in the polling?
“If so, there'll be another crisis for this Tory party as it tries to get itself off the floor in the election boxing match.”
In the exclusive poll for GB News membership readers, an overwhelming majority (91 per cent) of the 915 voters thought Reform could become Britain’s second-biggest party, while just seven per cent thought they can't. Two per cent said they did not know.
