Former Labour MP Rosie Duffield has delivered a scathing assessment of her former party's performance under Sir Keir Starmer, warning that Labour has "rotten foundations" and lacks a convincing narrative for voters.
Speaking to Camilla Tominey on GB News, Duffield declared the situation "an absolute disaster", dismissing attempts by "party spin doctors" to present a positive picture.
Her comments come as the party faces mounting criticism over its direction and policy reversals.
New polling has revealed the depth of public dissatisfaction with Labour's performance, with nearly half of voters unable to understand the Prime Minister's plan for Britain.
Rosie Duffield said that the Labour Party has "rotten foundations"

Rosie Duffield told Camilla: "It's an absolute disaster. Camilla, they have these expensive lads who will spin things, in other words, make up stuff to say it's not that bad, he's doing a good job.
"Certain loyal MPs will repeat that, but nobody believes that. The public isn't stupid. Voters have been let down.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
"It's not what they voted for. If you vote Labour, you expect a Labour Government and that's not what we've seen from day one."
Camilla said: "But do you think that the rot is set in now? Can they recover from this? Because we've got a lot of time, haven't we until the next general election, we're all behaving as if there's going to be an election next week. There won't be, it'll be 3 to 4 years from now.
"We were all ready to give up on Starmer after the Hartlepool by-election some four years ago. And he did manage to turn it around.
"But I'm not sure how strong that turnaround was. I think that was the Tories imploding. So if he's come from that base, there's not a lot to build on.
Starmer's approval rating has plummeted to an all-time low
PA"If you don't build your foundations and you're convincing story within the first year, you're standing on shifting sand.
"There's no progress to be made if you can't even get to the first solid step of showing the country what your story is, what you stand for.
"So I think there might be a few shallow gains and some positive news in the next three or four years, but the foundations are rotten and I don't think they can come back from this."

Starmer's approval rating has plummeted to an all-time low of -43, according to a More in Common poll conducted after Wednesday's PMQs.
Luke Tryl, More in Common's UK director, said: "It is an unhappy birthday for the Prime Minister, his personal approval has hit an all-time low, while Britons blame him rather than his chancellor for the welfare mess and think he has lost control of his party."
The poll showed Reform UK would emerge as the largest party if an election were held tomorrow, winning 290 seats compared to Labour's projected collapse to just 126.
