Sir Keir Starmer has been accused of "running scared" Reform's local election success as the Prime Minister unveiled his migration crackdown earlier today.
The Prime Minister outlined his strategy to bring down migration numbers, claiming the "experiment" on open borders is over".
Starmer declared: "Make no mistake, this plan means migration will fall. That is a promise. But I want to be very clear on this.
"If we do need to take further steps, if we do need to do more to release pressure on housing and our public services then mark my words, we will. We will finally honour what take back control meant."
Reform UK's Alex Wilson tore into Keir Starmer's latest migration plan, claiming it is 'too little, too late'

Discussing the Prime Minister's plan on GB News, Reform UK London Assembly Member Alex Wilson claimed he "doesn't believe a word", adding that the announcement is a counter move to Reform's defiant local election results - branding it "too little, too late".
Wilson explained: "We simply don't believe what they're saying. Both the Conservatives and the Labour Governments have failed utterly on the subject.
"It's no coincidence that both of those parties are bringing out their new proposals now, in the wake of what was a fantastic set of election results for Reform just a week and a half ago. They're both running scared."
In further defence of Reform's success, Wilson told GB News that Nigel Farage is "very much setting the agenda" when it comes to migration, and Britons are "waking up to their failure".
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Sir Keir Starmer claimed the 'one nation experiment' on 'open borders' is 'over'
PAWilson said: "They've got every reason to be running scared, because people have woken up to their failure so they can talk about it all they like. But ultimately we don't believe a word they say.
"The proof of the pudding will be in the eating, and we just don't think it's going to get served up on the plate. It shows very much that we are setting the agenda."
Highlighting the surging success for Reform, Wilson declared that their party is "punching well above their weight" and making "so much noise" on key issues affecting Britain.
He explained: "We've only got five MPs at the moment - we know that if there was a general election tomorrow, we'd have an awful lot more. But with our five MPs and me as our one current London Assembly member, we are absolutely making so much noise, punching well above our weight.
Wilson told GB News that Labour is 'wedded to open borders'

"And the proof, shown by those local election results, people have now woken up to the failures of both the established parties, and they're choosing to vote Reform in their droves. They want something different, they want some change, they want some some politicians who actually believe what they say."
Casting doubt on the latest plan, Wilson concluded that Starmer will "not deliver" on his promises, as Labour are "wedded to open borders".
He stated: "I simply do not believe they will deliver because their party is wedded to open borders. It was Tony Blair that started the huge rise in migration in the first place, continued by the Conservatives and continued by Labour.
"We've had 11,500 illegal crossings already this year. That's somewhere between 40 to 50 per cent up on this point last year. Keir Starmer talks about smashing the gangs, but the only thing he's doing is smashing the records and smashing his own credibility. I simply do not believe him."
