Political commentator Piers Pottinger has called for Attorney General Lord Richard Hermer's immediate resignation during an appearance on GB News, describing him as "fundamentally anti-British" and "a danger to this country".
Pottinger's scathing attack came following Lord Hermer's controversial speech comparing Conservative and Reform UK calls to withdraw from international courts to 1930s Nazi Germany.
"There is absolutely no doubt this man is a danger to this country and an enemy to this country. He should go immediately," Pottinger declared on the programme.
The political commentator described Hermer as "a disgraceful man" who is "out of his depth and operating in an area he does not understand".

Pottinger praised Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch's response to the controversy, highlighting her description of Labour as being "under the rule of lawyers, not the rule of law".
"I think for once I have to give credit to Kemi Badenoch - she described the Labour Party in the Telegraph today 'under the rule of lawyers, not the rule of law'. It was absolutely spot on," he said on GB News.

Lord Hermer faced widespread criticism after a speech on Thursday at the Royal United Services Institute, where he argued against politicians calling for Britain to "abandon the constraints of international law in favour of raw power".
He claimed similar arguments were made "in the early 1930s by realist jurists in Germany", specifically referencing legal theorist Carl Schmitt.
The Attorney General said abandoning international law would "give succour to Putin" and noted that "far-sighted individuals rebuilt and transformed the institutions of international law" following what happened "in 1933" when Hitler became German chancellor.
Lord Hermer's spokesman later acknowledged his "choice of words was clumsy" and expressed regret, though rejected Conservative characterisations of the speech.
Pottinger launched a detailed attack on Hermer's legal background, claiming "most of his clients were enemies of this country" and that "he spent most of his time defending people against the UK".
The commentator argued that Hermer "seems to me to be fundamentally anti-British and completely obsessed with international law rather than the interests of British people".
He criticised Hermer's dismissal of the Nazi references as inadequate, stating: "He mentioned the Nazi thing four times. It was the central part of his speech. When he tries to dismiss it, it's not good enough."
Pottinger added that "even socialist lawyers feel he is behaving dreadfully" and argued Hermer "should not be in politics" as he lacks accountability in the Commons.
