Kemi Badenoch has said that Tories who don't back her European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) plans will not be allowed to stand as MPs at the next general election.
The Conservative Party leader confirmed yesterday that the Tories will take the UK out of the ECHR if they successfully form a Government at the next election.
Speaking to Camilla Tominey of GB News, the Tory leader said: "I was very clear at the Shadow Cabinets where we agreed completely.
"It was unanimous that we cannot have a party where people do not abide by manifesto commitments.

"If you do not agree with leaving the ECHR, then you should not and cannot stand as a Conservative candidate at the election."
Camilla asked: "So are you saying you will kick people out if they rebel against this?"
She explained: "They can be in the party but they cannot stand as MPs."
Asked if she realised that many people do not trust the Tories on borders and the economy, she said: "Well, this is what I'm here to do, to show them that we're the only party that can deliver that stronger economy and those stronger borders that we need.
"And I recognise that we lost that last election because people lost faith in us.
"My job now is to regain that trust with the public, drawing a line under the mistakes, we made many, I’ve acknowledged them, we've apologised, but what I need to do now is show how we solve today's problems.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
"I don't have a time machine to go back and redo the last Conservative Government.
"What I do have is authentic conservative principles and a plan, which is something no other party has."
Mrs Badenoch spoke to GB News at the 2025 Conservative Party Conference, held in Manchester this weekend.
At the conference, the Conservatives will pledge to deport 150,00 people a year with a Donald Trump-style immigration crackdown.

Kemi Badenoch said she would create a new "Removals Force" modelled on the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) agency.
The seven-part plan also includes banning asylum claims for illegal entrants, withdrawal from the ECHR and European Convention of Action against Trafficking, and repealing the Human Rights Act.
Mrs Badenoch is committed to deporting all new illegal migrants within a week of arrival on British shores and removing all foreign criminals.
Other measures include ending the Immigration Tribunal, Judicial Review and legal aid for immigration case, signing returns agreements backed by visa sanctions and supporting Britain's allies abroad to prevent illegal entry to Europe.
