Sir Keir Starmer has been dealt a blow as it has been revealed that no babies born last year in England and Wales shared his name.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) today released its annual baby-name figures.
The data shows which names proved the most popular among parents for boys and girls in England and Wales in 2024.
A total of four babies were recorded as being called Keir in 2023.
However, none born last year were given the name despite this being the year Starmer was elected as Prime Minister, The Telegraph reports.
Muhammad has meanwhile once again headed up the charts, as it has done for the past two years.
While Muhammad tops the boys' names, the same name but spelt "Mohammed", came in at 21st.
Similarly, Mohammad is in 53rd place, meaning the name itself appears three different times in the top 100.

The origins of the name Keir appear to come from Ireland, deriving its meaning from the word dubh, which translates as black, according to Ancestry.
The name also has roots in Scotland.
In Irish tradition, descriptive words are used to name their children, with black meaning resilience, strength and intelligence.
Starmer's parents allegedly named him after Keir Hardie, the founder and first parliamentary leader of the Labour Party.

Despite being an uncommon name, other famous Keirs include Keir Dullea, an American actor who starred in 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Wesley was used 70 times by parents, while Bridget was used by 35.
Unlike previous Prime Ministers, Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak saw a rise in use when they were in office.
Boris was given to 16 babies in the last year, while Nigel continues to defy extinction by matching last year’s tally of five.
