The X owner has praised the Great Yarmouth MP in the past, previously calling on him to lead Reform UK

Elon Musk appears to have endorsed Rupert Lowe's new "political movement" by commenting with two British flags underneath the MP's post announcing the movement.

Lowe announced on X the launch of Restore Britain, which he described as "a movement for those who believe that we need to fundamentally change the way Britain is governed".

The X CEO replied to Lowe's tweet with two British flags, which the Restore Britain account quote-tweeted, stating: "Elon agrees."

Former Member of the European Parliament Steven Woolfe said Musk's support "will put the cat amongst the political pigeons".

Musk appeared to previously back Lowe becoming Prime Minister, after commenting with two British flags again on a post saying: "Can we please get [Lowe] as Prime Minister".

The Financial Times claimed in March that the CEO of Tesla would support a credible party to the right of Reform.

Musk also appeared to announce his support for Ben Habib's new political party, Advance UK.

Commenting underneath a post from Habib announcing the launch of the party, Musk said: "Bravo", followed by the Union Jack.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

The comment with the British flags today is the latest of several interests from Musk in British and European politics.

The tech tycoon has supported several European populists, including Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the AfD in Germany.

The political movement from Lowe has already called for the deportation of all illegal migrants, stating that "every single one needs to go".

It has also called for the banning of the burqa, telling the Government to follow European countries like France and Belgium.

Restore Britain wrote on X: "The safety and dignity of women and girls must not be sacrificed on the altar of multiculturalism. An overwhelming majority of Britons back a ban."

The MP for Great Yarmouth confirmed Restore Britain will launch a platform where "members will be able to vote on, propose and ratify policies - followed by a campaign of action from the movement".

Lowe noted there has been a "wonderful response" to the movement and is "constantly amazed by the support".
