“This is an incredible exclusive, it’s incredible. The man says grooming gangs have been running rife in London for 20 years”, she said.
“Khan tried to make a fool of Susan Hall. He was asked nine times about this. He shouldn’t be allowed to quit, he should be got rid of.

“If he did know about this and ignored it, that’s just beyond belief. If he didn’t know about it, what the hell is he doing?
“Sadiq Khan has been the worst London Mayor we have ever had. The city is in a mess because of him.
“The transport system, TfL (Transport for London) £12.9 billion in debt. It’s just appalling. The fact he did what he did tells me he maybe knew about it, but to reject an inquiry is putting these young girls in danger.
“By saying it’s lies, he’s actually disbelieving the victims on which there are numerous statements. He is making them out to be liars as well. For that, he should be fired.”
Sadiq Khan has been urged to answer questions on grooming gang operations in London
| London AssemblyThe Mayor of London’s office has denied the allegations made by the former cop, telling the Express they are politically motivated.
A statement reads: These accusations are false, malicious, and politically motivated.
“The Mayor is committed to doing everything in his power to build a safer London for everyone and has always been clear that all violence against women and girls must be treated with the utmost urgency - both by our police and society as a whole.”
In February, City Hall rejected calls for a multi-million pound inquiry into whether grooming gangs have operated in London.
Tories on the London Assembly proposed an amendment to Sir Khan’s budget, which included £4.49 million for an “Independent Inquiry into the Exploitation of Children in London”.
The amendment required a two-thirds majority to pass but was struck down by 16 votes to nine.
Labour, Green Party, Liberal Democrat and independent members voted against it while Reform UK’s sole assembly member backed the Conservatives.
The Mayor was accused in January of “stonewalling” questions about grooming gangs from Tory rival Susan Hall after she repeatedly asked him about the operations of gangs in the capital.
Sir Khan would only respond by saying he was unsure of what she meant by grooming gangs.
