Asked where Western governments are going wrong, Paisley Jr said: "They're scared of their own values. They're scared of being honest and they have to conform.
"Well, be honest, speak out, speak up, speak often and, you know, have something to say. And yes, it might be controversial. Boo hoo! It's OK.
"You can actually have a controversial view and you can actually put those things forward."
He added: "I think we should be comfortable hearing difficult things. You know, if you've said something or done something here, an uncomfortable argument about that, but not saying I'm not prepared to listen to it, that that shows a conformity to there's only one way.
"We're a diverse people, we're diverse individuals, and that's the beauty of life - our diversity.
"You're so lucky you don't look like me. That's diversity, you know.
"And you know, having the opportunity to embrace that diversity is where we really should be.
"And therefore in our language and our speech, if we say something that's difficult, if it's wrong, we should be able to challenge it, but show it's wrong.
"And if we're challenging it, we might discover it's actually right."
In the same interview, Paisley Jr accused Britain of being "ashamed" of its own values, demanding the nation stops hiding from its own history.
The DUP MP called for the UK to "learn" from its mistakes, but not to shy away from them.
He claimed the UK Government is "scared of being honest", demanding they form a more positive approach to society.
Arc is an organisation that was established as "an international community with a vision for a better world".
Its mission is to generate a new approach to society, which would allow everyone to "prosper, contribute and flourish".
Asked whether the UK is going wrong in its approach to its own history, Paisley Jr said: "The values of our state are really Christian values - positive things, like building a better society.
"If you're ashamed of that and if you try to burden that with all the mistakes made, hey, all of us have feet of clay.

"Our best heroes, even our woke heroes, have feet of clay. So no matter who was there, they're not perfect.
"But that's okay, because no one is.
"Let's actually learn from those things and build from those things and build a positive society from it. And this conference is helping us get there."
