A new Brexit poll suggesting 62 per cent of Britons would vote to rejoin the European Union has been blasted as “detached from reality”.
The survey, shared by former YouGov president Peter Kellner, found 19.8 million people would now chose to rejoin the EU, up from 16.1 million Remain voters in 2016.
Meanwhile, just 11.7 million voters would still back Brexit, down from 17.4 million nearly a decade ago.
The analysis, which was shared with the fanatically pro-EU magazine New World, showed 3.2 million Brexit voters have died since the referendum was held nine years ago.

An additional 1.8 million Remain voters have also died since 2016.
The research also found 4.1 million Brexit voters have changed their minds, compared to just 1.1 million 2016 Remain supporters.
Younger voters were also identified as a key reason behind the shift, with three million new voters breaking for rejoin by a margin of five-to-one.
However, ex-Brexit Minister David Jones warned the survey is missing the “elephant in the room”.
An anti-Brexit campaigner in Westminster | GETTYThe former Tory MP, who has since defected to Reform UK, told GB News: “The EU of 2025 is markedly more intrusive than the EU people voted on in 2016.
“Since then we’ve seen active moves toward fiscal union and shared borrowing, a much more overbearing regulatory state, particularly on digital and financial services, new attempts at defence integration, and a geopolitical posture that assumes ever closer union as the default.
“Rejoining would mean accepting all of that, with no opt-outs, no veto and no rebate. It is extraordinary how often that is overlooked.
“Polls come and go, but the essential argument for sovereignty, democracy and regulatory autonomy is even stronger today than it was in 2016.”

Meanwhile, David Campbell-Bannerman, a former Tory MEP who co-chaired the pro-Brexit pressure group Conservatives for Britain, said: “When you explain rejoining the EU means joining the Euro and losing the pound these pro-Rejoin polls drop dramatically.
“The polling is a result of a continued misinformation campaign by MSM and big corporates and is becoming increasingly deluded and detached from reality - and frankly downright dishonest.”
Brexit veteran Sir John Redwood added: “People have no wish to go back into the EU with all the extra bills we would have to pay and all the new rules and taxes.
“Why tear up the free trade deals we have done with TPP and India? Why put tariffs back on to make things dearer? Going back in would double Rachel Reeves's supposed black hole and slow our growth more.”
Pro-Brexit campaigners celebrate Brexit day | GETTYDespite receiving a boost in recent polls, experts have warned Remainers against getting too excited about rejoining the bloc.
Speaking at a Demos fringe event at the Conservative Party Conference, Sir John Curtice said: "The problem is, of course, that the EU has moved on.
"And any of the people who say that perhaps Brexit was a bit of a mistake and we should go back, would like to go back, but don't want to go into the single currency, and want the budget rebate back. Of course, none of that would now be available.
"The EU is now starting to become fiscally integrated, the EU is now becoming a significant defence power. The world has moved on, the EU is now a more powerful institution than it was."

Sir John added: "We would be attempting to join an organisation where the compromise on sovereignty would be greater than what we were debating back in 2016."
However, the latest analysis also raised questions about taking into account voters who have passed away since the Brexit vote.
Ex-European Research Group chair Steve Baker also voiced concern about the use of “dead voters” in the analysis.
He said: “I don’t know about ‘dead voters’ but it sounds macabre and I’m not interested to find out. Who cares what a small poll says? It’s ludicrous.”

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has rejected calls to entangle Britain with Brussels's single market and customs union.
But the PM is facing pressure from Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy, ex-Labour leader Lord Kinnock and Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham to rethink the UK's relationship with Brussels.
A No10 spokesman said: “Our focus is on strengthening our relationship with EU and reducing friction with our EU partners”.
