“She’s got one in London, one in her constituency and now she has a holiday home”, he said.
“Why does Nigel Farage need four properties?”

“I just wonder, if Angela Rayner, who is so concerned about looking after so-called refugees, whether she will use one of her three properties and maybe house some migrants in there. What do you think?’
Lord Foulkes responded: “Well, that’s something you can ask her. You can ask Nigel Farage that as well. You can ask Boris Johnson. Why do you pick on women?
“You seem to have it in for women politicians. You don’t ask this about the men who have four, five or sex houses. Why is it only Angela Rayner who gets questions? Is it because she’s a woman?”
Ben responded: “Are you saying this is a sexist attack? She’s the housing minister and she was the front page of The Sun and the Mail on Sunday.”
Lord Foulkes then spoke about the owners of the aforementioned newspapers, saying they do not pay tax in Britain, a point Ben deemed irrelevent.
“The story is true still. It’s just the optics, it doesn’t look good for a champagne socialist to have three homes”, he said.
Lord Foulkes said: “The headline said three houses and one of them is a Government house which she uses when she is in London on Government business.
“One is in her constituency and one is for holidays. That’s only two houses. Nigel Farage has four.”
Deputy Prime Minster Angela Rayner is under fire after she bought a third property
| GB NEWSBen said “he’s not the housing minister” and asked how much taxpayer money was spent on two beds in her grace-and-favour home.
“£7,000 on two beds, Lord Foulkes”, he said.
“It’s alright when it’s not your money, it doesn’t matter, yes please, three-and-a-half grand on two beds”.
Ms Rayner divides her time between her £350,000 home in her constituency near Manchester and her central London grace-and-favour flat.
She sparked a hypocrisy row with her latest purchase because she is preparing to levy an extra 100 per cent council tax charge on second homes.
Ms Rayner has previously faced claims that she may have broken electoral law and dodged capital gains tax and council tax in relation to the 2015 sale of her council house in Stockport.
She said the row about council tax was a “deliberate smear”, adding: “It was frustrating. There’s been a number of times where I felt that, whether it was misogyny or this, which I felt was difficult on a personal level.”
