We also have a Prime Minister who today said he backed Reeves and her catastrophic budget and described it as a “moment of personal pride”. He also said she didn’t mislead the public over the nation’s finances when millions have seen and heard that she absolutely did.

I mean this is a joke, right? A PM is backing a Chancellor who hugely inflated the size of the nation’s debt so she could give the workshy even more money than they are already getting?

And both are blaming the Office for Budget Responsibility for actually telling the truth about the state of nation’s finances.

You really couldn’t make this nonsense up.

But Reform boss Nigel Farage is furious and has said what Reeves has done is of “grave concern.”

Sorry, but it’s way more than that – surely, it’s a criminal offence? And if it isn’t - it should be. Because exaggerating the extent of the nation’s debt and manipulating the markets is about as serious as it gets in Government.

What Reeves has done goes way beyond incompetence. It’s about her being a flat-out fibber!

Her Budget was a punch in the face for every hard-working person in this country because she used lies, scare tactics and fake numbers to justify £26B worth of tax rises and a £16B increase to the welfare budget.

And thanks to her, dropping the two-child benefit cap, a worker now would now have to earn a salary of £71,000 to take home the same amount as a three -child family combined with benefits. Or £90,000 to match a family with five kids. And that’s not me saying that, it’s the Centre for Social Justice.

And it gets worse - a single parent of three with a child and who receives benefits for a condition like ADHD will get £38,000 - £17,000 more than the take-home pay of a living wage job.

Now those of you who do go to work every day - just let those figures sink in for a minute and then ask yourself: why should you bother?

On top of that we have 1.2 million foreigners on Universal Credit. And there are 341,735 foreign born families who will benefit from the decision to life the two-child benefit cap with households from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria and Somalia topping the list.

All of that was done by Rachel Reeves to hard working people last week.

Then she tried to justify lifting the two-child benefit cap by making it sound like kids all over Britain were literally starving when they’re not.

Reeves clearly doesn’t understand the term “relative poverty” which means people have enough money to pay for basics like bills a roof over their heads, bus passes etc, but not enough for treats – holidays, trips to the movies, 52inch TV’s. Now that is relative poverty. It doesn’t mean children are going to bed as Reeves has claimed.

In interviews at the weekend Reeves was still claiming she’d done nothing wrong and was going nowhere and that the mistruths, the hoodwinking the British people over the state of our finances was absolutely the right thing to do.

So, we have a Chancellor who has taking lying to Olympic levels.

First, she lied to the British people saying taxes on working people wouldn’t rise. She then raised them by £40billion last year. Then she said they wouldn’t rise again: “I’m really clear. I’m not coming back with more borrowing or taxes.” But she has come back this year with £26billion more of them. And she’s lied about her reasons for doing it.

Which is why Nigel Farage has reported her to the ethics watchdog (it’s the second time in a month Reeves has been reported) over her fake claims that there was a black hole nearing £30billion in the country’s finances.

The £20billion black hole has always just been a fiction of dodgy Rachel’s making. It’s been used to justify throwing money at Britain’s shirkers. In fact, the OBR told Reeves way before ethe budget there was a £4.2billion surplus which meant she didn’t have to jack up taxes. But she did anyway so she could pay for more feckless, lazy people to go on benefits.

So, her baloney about how Britain was in a mess because of Truss, Brexit, Margaret Thatcher, Trump - not to mention Uncle Tom Cobbley - was actually all just cobblers.

She has known since September that the black hole was a piddling £2.5billion but she kept talking Britain down because she wanted to raise taxes. In October the OBR even told her we had a surplus of £2.1billion. But still this joke of a chancellor kept preaching doom and gloom – all so she could steal money from the pockets of hard-working people to throw at those on benefits.

It’s beyond sickening that this lying Walter Mitty is harming British families every day she stays in office. Never forget this is the woman who lied on her CV claiming she’d been a leading economist in the Bank of England when she was a mere minnow. She also plagiarized other people’s work for her book on female economists. Why did we ever expect her lies to stop when she got the Chancellor’s job.

Reeves, manipulated by the Hard Left, has made it more profitable for people to languish on benefits than go out to work.

She’s a disgrace and an embarrassment her office. As is Starmer. And the fact no-one has trust in either of them has real world consequences which we’ve already seen with higher borrowing rates, rocketing unemployment and a 250,000 strong exodus off the brightest and the best.
