Nearly 500 migrants a day are signing up to Universal Credit - that’s 1.3 million foreign-born now claiming benefits in Britain.
Let that number sink in for a moment, and we’re expected to pretend this is all fine? Sustainable? Fair?
Give me a break.
This country is coughing up billions in welfare every year, and the bill is skyrocketing. Meanwhile, working people watch their taxes rise, their services disappear, and their wages stagnate. And now we know exactly why, because the British taxpayer - the people who built this country, fund this country, and keep it moving - are bankrolling a welfare system increasingly used by people who only arrived recently.
Walk through certain areas of London; look at the huge stretches of social housing, paid for by the British public, overwhelmingly allocated to the foreign-born.
Meanwhile, British families, some of whom have contributed for decades, are sleeping in temporary accommodation, stuck on endless waiting lists, or squeezed into tiny flats with no hope of moving.
How is that remotely acceptable?
We have become, and I’ll say it plainly, the world’s piggy bank, the world’s housing office, a welfare system without borders, without limits, without any expectation that contribution comes before entitlement.
Will this be sorted under Labour?
Forget it.
We’ve got a human rights lawyer as Prime Minister, someone hard-wired to say yes to everyone except - it seems - the very people paying for all of this.

If Britain keeps going down this path, we will break the welfare state entirely. There is a limit, there is a breaking point, and by every available measure, we are sprinting towards it.
And ask yourself this: could you walk into France, Germany, Spain, the U.S, Australia - pick any nation you want - fall on hard times and instantly start claiming benefits?
No, you’d be laughed out of the building.
Because no other country on earth is as unbelievably soft, as endlessly generous, as blindly self-destructive as we are, we’re playing a game nobody else is playing. Why are we the mugs of Europe?
This is economic suicide dressed up as compassion.
And how does it end?
It ends when a government finally grows a spine, it ends when a party, yes, I’m talking about Reform, stands up and says…enough is enough, no more automatic access, no more signing on the minute you arrive, no more fantasy politics where the British taxpayer is treated like an unlimited resource.
Benefits should be for British citizens only, and social housing for British families first.
Welfare should be a safety net, not a global free-for-all.
Unless this country changes direction, and quickly, there will soon be nothing left for the very people the system was built to protect. Britain cannot keep carrying the world on its back,
And we shouldn’t be ashamed to say it.
