Adam Brooks shares his thoughts on migrant protests in Dublin, just weeks after witnessing the Epping demonstrations firsthand

I’m absolutely sick of this. For years, I and plenty of others have been screaming from the rooftops, saying that you can’t just shove unvetted, unchecked foreign men, from halfway across the world, into hotels and dump them in the middle of our communities, and amongst our women and our kids, without a shred of proper oversight.

And what do we get called? We get called alarmists, bigots, racists, and told that we’re suddenly the ‘far right’.

We are seeing sex attacks and violence emanating from asylum seeker hotels up and down the UK, and Dublin is the latest proof of this absolute horror show.

A 10-year-old girl, yes 10, a child under state care, and meant to be safe, was allegedly sexually assaulted near the Citywest hotel in Dublin, an asylum seeker hotspot.

The suspect? A man in his 30s, reportedly an African asylum seeker and who is now in custody.

And get this, he’s asking for an Arab translator. This is the utter chaos that we’re dealing with.

Protests kicked off outside the facility last night, and now I’m seeing posts all over social media calling for more protests outside that hotel tonight.

It looks like there will be thousands of people.

Locals are angry and scared, and who can blame them? This isn’t just one crime, it’s happening everywhere where these asylum hotels are placed.

This poor girl was under Tusla’s protection, on a supervised trip, and somehow, she vanishes for hours, ends up in a dodgy area with next to no security, no cameras, nothing.

How does that even happen? A kid in state care, lost in the night, attacked in a place where anyone with half a brain could see she wouldn’t be safe. It’s not just a tragedy, it’s a total betrayal.

Let’s cut the nonsense. If you pack thousands of people from different cultures, barely vetted, no proper ID checks, into makeshift hotels and HMOs, why would you think that it would all be fine?

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

Where’s the security? Where’s the vetting? Where’s the accountability? It’s just a free-for-all, and when it goes wrong, and it keeps going wrong, absolutely nobody in charge has the guts to own it.

They hide behind platitudes about tolerance, while our communities live in fear. This isn’t about hating foreigners, it’s about governments that have lost the plot.

Locals across the UK and Ireland are fed up, reporting harassment, intimidation, and crime spiking around these hotels. Yet, all we get are lectures about "understanding".

Well, we understand, alright. We understand that our kids aren’t safe, our streets aren’t safe, and the people meant to protect us are asleep at the wheel and have absolutely no plan.

This girl was supposed to be looked after. A child in care, betrayed by the state that promised to keep her safe. It’s utterly gut-wrenching, it’s infuriating, and it’s got to stop

The Irish Government has got two jobs here, and they’d better not muck it up. First, justice for this girl, fast, clear, and with absolutely no excuses. If this bloke’s guilty, throw the book at him and send him packing.

Second, rip up the broken asylum system and fix it. Proper checks, proper security, and proper protection for our women and girls. How many more girls have to suffer? How many more “isolated incidents” that we all know aren’t isolated?

This is happening everywhere and it’s an utter disgrace. No more dodging, no more spin, no more hiding behind fake stats or endless inquiries.

Epping localsEpping locals celebrated the victory outside the migrant hotel following the verdict on Tuesday | GB NEWS

Our governments need to grow a spine, protect our women and children, and mean it when they say "never again". Because this time, a little girl paid the price, and, I’m telling you now, if they don’t act, the next tragedy is on them, and people will not tolerate it.

I have a really bad feeling that the protests in Dublin tonight will turn sour and will spread throughout Ireland.

We saw it in Epping, communities will come out to protect kids, and sometimes the anger and emotion will trigger violence, especially if police do not act in the right manner.

Parents, grandparents and locals are furious, and I don’t blame them. Enough is enough.
