Britain’s migration crisis is spiralling out of control, and some are now calling for a national emergency to be declared.

Just today, we’ve learned of three major scandals linked to illegal immigration.

A convicted sex offender who crossed the Channel illegally was mistakenly released from prison, recaptured after a two-day manhunt and deported to Ethiopia, but only after being handed a £500 payout to stop him launching legal challenges.

The Government insists our streets are now safer.

But how was this man ever freed in the first place after being convicted of sexually assaulting both a woman and a 14-year-old girl?

In an interview broadcast by Sky News, Hadush Kebatu claimed he had tried to hand himself in to police the day before his arrest, but was ignored.

Anything this man says should be treated with scepticism, yet giving him airtime at all will, to many, feel like a fresh insult to his victims.

Meanwhile in Derby, a Somali illegal migrant known to police across four European countries has been jailed for life after stabbing a father-of-three to death in a bank.

The killer’s asylum claim had already been rejected, yet he was still being housed at public expense.

His victim, a 37-year-old, was attacked at random shortly after the perpetrator learned of his failed claim.

And in Scotland, with migrant hotels full to bursting, Cameron Barracks in Inverness is now being converted to hold more asylum seekers, prompting fury from locals concerned about the strain on public services and community cohesion.

We’ve seen grooming gangs, machete attacks and multiple murders involving illegal migrants, all in just the past few weeks.

Britons are furious at a Government that talks tough but acts weak.

More and more people say they no longer feel safe in public.

This isn’t scaremongering, it’s reality.

Unless the Government gets a grip, detains, deports and removes those here illegally, undocumented and unaccounted for, Britain cannot call itself a serious country.
