Do-gooders across the country have leapt to her defence - 'she too was a victim', they say

Shamima Begum, remember her?

She is of course the one who fled to Syria to join the Islamic State back in 2015.

The one who says she "wasn't fazed by seeing severed heads in bins" and that she views the Manchester bomb arena attack as "fair retaliation".

Well, she has now issued a fresh plea to be allowed back to Britain to stand trial. Do-gooders across the country have leapt to her defence, she was only a child, they say: she was groomed. She too was a victim. Let her face justice here. And to those people, I simply ask; are you mad?

I don't feel an inch of sympathy for Shamima Begum and nor do I want her back in this country, for any reason.

Our government should have a red line, one it has the courage to stick to. And to the parts of the media who seem desperate to force feed us a diet of her in western clothes stating how much she has changed; please stop.

She chose her path - she chose her destination and now it time, to let her rot there...
