Labour's TRUE colours! Starmer's mad amnesty on Channel migrants will mean even more flooding to UK, but could give Sunak a chance - Kelvin MacKenzie

Labour have revealed their true colours on migration

It reflects enormously poorly on the Conservatives that despite Sir Keir Starmer being a dud, the latest YouGov poll show him literally miles ahead and the gap between Rishi (18%) and Reform (15%) now being it’s smallest ever at just 3%.

I can only believe that Labour is beginning to actually feel sorry for Sunak and that’s the reason they have decided to reveal an immigration policy which might give Sunak a glimmer of hope at the General Election.

This is one; Labour have told The Times it would consider the asylum claims of all migrants who had entered the UK illegally (effectively by boat across the Channel) since March last year. Because Starmer’s amnesty will run until the end of this year, that number is estimated at between 90,000-115,000. Incredible.

There will only be one outcome for that idea. Everybody across the Middle East or Africa who is unhappy at their financial circumstances will try and get here as they know there will be a sporting chance, with Labour in power, that they can start living down your street, rent free.

I can’t imagine what that figure will look like. Nor can I imagine what our benefits bill will look like. Those young men crossing the channel are not doctors, teachers and the like. They are people who couldn’t make it in their homeland so what work are they going to do in the UK? They can’t all be Deliveroo riders.

About 67,000 asylum claims were granted last year (that’s 67%) the highest number since records began in 1984. There has been a record 7,567 Channel migrants in the first four months of this year.

That will be nothing compared to the boats turning up once Labour comes to office. Don’t they understand this.

Starmer has been wrong on most things in his political and legal life. After all he sucked up up Corbyn’s pro-Brexit for years in the shadow cabinet while actually being a Remainer.

Take his views about the police using Tasers.

The Telegraph reports that for two decades their use has been the target of criticisms and attacks by Left-leaning campaign groups and lawyers with one of them being Starmer.

In 2007, as a leading barrister, he gave a legal opinion raising concerns over the human rights implications of rolling out Tasers. He wanted more evidence of a ‘’capability gap’’ that would justify the use of ‘’potentially lethal equipment’’. Effectively, the advice recommended holding off on the rollout.

Among those he consulted before writing his opinion was the prominent liberal-Left pressure groups American Civil Liberties and Amnesty International.

Amnesty has been vociferous in its criticism of the use of Tasers in the UK. How many more would have died in Hainault without our brave officers using those Tasers. The reality is that all officers should have them- currently only 22% do in the Met.

I can’t imagine what our country would look like under years of a Labour government with a 200+ majority. I suspect the skint and the idle would do better, the middle classes who would be paying the higher taxes to give the skint and the idle would be poorer and angrier and the wealthy and the clever would have all buggered off.

And the welfare bill will have gone off the charts as very few of our ‘’friends’’ on the boats will have found work.

The only good news is that if my analysis turns out to be right, this will be a one term government and will be thrown out with the gusto that brought it in. That would still be five years of misery.

On that note, can I wish you a Happy Christmas and see you down the pub.
