The stitch-up surrender deal is done

It’s beyond parody – Kier Starmer strutting around the White House this week, having “very, very serious” talks with Trump and other European leaders, pretending that what he says and does will have an effect on Ukraine’s future.

Newsflash - the charleton Starmer will have no input whatsoever in the Putin/Trump deal. We’re told he and other European leaders have bravely gone to the White House to form a protective shield around Zelensky, so he won’t be humiliated by Trump like he was last time.

Tosh! Those European leaders have gone there because it makes them look good – like they’re actually involved in the eventual outcome when they’re not.

They’re only there for political window dressing, to make it look like they’ve had some part in this so-called peace deal which isn’t a peace deal at all – it’s the carve up of a sovereign nation that was illegally invaded by the bully Putin.

What has been billed as a “summit of equals is nothing of the sort. It’s a group of desperately weak European leaders who’ve been called to the White House to rubber-stamp one of the greatest treacheries in history.

The PR message is that they’re there to support Zelensky and get the best deal for Ukraine. And they’re supposedly going to urge Trump not to accept any more demands from Putin for concessions.

But Trump despises Europe. He doesn’t see the point of it. Does anyone actually believe he’ll do anything it's weaselly leaders say?

The tragic truth is Ukraine’s fate has already been decided by just two men - the ruthless Russian dictator and the leader of the free world, who’s determined to get his Nobel Peace Prize. And nothing Starmer, Macron or Germany’s Chancellor, Friederich Merz, says is going to make a damn bit of difference.

The stitch-up surrender deal is done. And Ukraine is the big loser. So, all Starmer’s empty rhetoric about what HE wants for Ukraine and how he won’t settle for anything less is just grandstanding tosh. He’ll settle for anything Trump tells him to.

Ukraine is going to have to cede territory snatched from it in an illegal invasion, and Europe and its ineffectual leaders who didn’t do a damn thing about it back then, sure as Hell aren’t going to do anything now.

Yes, Starmer keeps hugging Zelensky and telling us he’s on Ukraine’s side and that Putin must not get away with his illegal land grab.

He talks emotively and compassionately about the Ukrainian people and how much they’ve lost, but his words are empty ones because he will do nothing to stop this humiliating deal from happening.

Neither will Macron nor the other European leaders. Because they’re all scared of Trump and what he will do to punish them if they obstruct his shoddy deal that rewards Putin’s aggression.

So, they’ll just talk and talk. They will publicly hug Zelensky (again), pretending to be his very good friend - but they’re not. Because if push comes to shove and Trump abandons Ukraine, those leaders know they will have to foot the defence bill for it, and they don’t want to.

They call themselves the Coalition of the Willing – but what are they actually willing to do? I’m betting Sod All.

They’re not even willing to push against Trump because they fear what he’ll do to them. So, they will stand by and do nothing while the Russian bully boy gets rewarded with land and minerals from blood-soaked Ukraine.

And if Putin doesn’t stick to whatever peace deal is reached, which he won’t because he’s got form for it, still, they’ll do nothing. They’ll scream that it’s an outrage, that he must not get away with it, but he will because the Posse of the Useless will do nothing!

If any of them had a scintilla of courage, they could have called Putin’s bluff. Because of the war, Russia is on its knees. Its once vast army is ravaged. Economically, it’s a busted flush because sanctions are biting. And inflation is at 10 per cent.

How delighted must Putin be that just when he’s on the bones of his backside, he’s about to be saved by the Coalition of the (Weak?) Willing and the bloke are desperate for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Both aren’t just rescuing him from economic disaster; they’re rewarding him for his illegal invasion. Which will embolden him for the next time.

Trump could have brought Putin to his knees instead; he’s brought him back to the top table in politics and treated him like a hero in Alaska last week.

How sick-making must that have been for the grieving and devastated people of Ukraine- seeing the murderous dictator who has killed tens of thousands of their people happily shaking hands with Trump, the man who has their fate in his hands?

But at least Trump is honest in his desire to walk away from Ukraine. He doesn’t give a stuff about it or Zelensky, and he’s desperate to stop supporting it militarily because it’s not popular with the American people.

And Trump knows he’ll get his way with Ukraine because it's dependent on a weak and divided Europe, and like he says - ‘if Europe doesn’t like what’s happening, if Europe doesn’t like the deal, let Europe do something about it, knowing full well it won’t.

God help the poor Ukrainian people if they believe Starmer and Europe can help them get their land and their dignity back! How can they when they’re only interested in helping themselves!
