America isn’t losing. It’s Winning. And Most People Are Too Distracted to See It.
Everyone keeps saying Trump doesn’t know what he’s doing. That America is stumbling around the world stage, alienating allies, starting fires it can’t control. His post in the early hours of this morning will generate the usual outrage. The usual hot takes. The usual missing of the point.
There IS a plan. It is working. And it’s WAY bigger than Iran.
What’s unfolding right now isn’t foreign policy chaos. It’s the deliberate dismantling of the post-war global order and the construction of something new in its place.
Pete Hegseth named it himself last week, standing in front of Latin American military leaders in Florida: “Trump has drawn a new strategic map, from Greenland to the Gulf of America to the Panama Canal and its surrounding countries. At the Department of War, we call this strategic map the Greater North America.”
This is a full reset. And every piece is moving exactly where Washington wants it.
Start with the Middle East. Iran is now strangling the Strait of Hormuz, with tolls, threats, and instability. Middle Eastern oil becomes unreliable.
The Gulf states are rattled, newly aggressive, and openly on edge after Iranian attacks on their interests. Tehran is weakened enough that it can’t reach nuclear capability, but not so destroyed that the chaos ends.
That chaos is the point. Prolonged instability in the Strait is catastrophic for Gulf oil exporters. It’s a gift for American ones.
Move to Europe. An energy crisis forces the continent off Russian supply, already severed by the Ukraine war, which conveniently keeps Moscow bogged down and broke. Who’s left to fill the gap?
America, which now controls one of the largest oil producers on the planet in Venezuela. Europe will buy US energy, and to get those deals, it will have to buy US debt.
The deficit hawks worried about the debt ceiling should look at who’s being lined up to finance it (and who already holds most of US debt).

Then there’s China. Forty-five per cent of its oil transits the Strait. Venezuela, previously China’s largest oil supplier, is now firmly under American control.
Trump didn't mince his words about controlling Venezuelan oil either, that's deliberate signalling to China, "look what I've got".
Beijing’s leverage in any trade negotiation has just been substantially reduced. The tariff war looks very different when your opponent controls your energy supply.
And NATO? The allies were briefed on Iran. They walked in, failed to show up, and handed Trump exactly the argument he needed on Greenland. That wasn’t an accident either.
This is not a president flailing. This is a strategy being executed across five theatres simultaneously, with oil as the central instrument of power.
If you look at all of that and still think America is losing, just wait until you see what they look like when they’re winning.
