Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been issued a warning over whether he can trust the Kremlin.
Mr Zelenskyy said on Monday that any compromises agreed with Russia to end its ongoing invasion would have to be voted on by Ukrainians first.

He said: "The people will have to speak up and respond to this or that form of compromise. And what they (the compromises) will be is the subject of our talks and understanding between Ukraine and Russia”.
But former advisor to the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Cormac Smith, said live on GB News’ Dan Wootton Tonight, that Russia cannot be trusted.
Mr Smith said: “The one thing I have learnt in my time in Ukraine was a lesson that diplomats and politicians have learnt over the decades, you cannot trust Russia.
“There is no diplomatic solution with Russia, Russia only understands power and strength.
“So therefore, my observation and this is from the outside, Zelenskyy is keeping the moral high ground.
“He is making every effort to engage with Putin and he made it very, very clear that any agreement will go to a referendum.”
