An Iranian rebel has pinpointed a "game-changing" military base to hit which could scatter the power of the Islamic Republic in Tehran.
Khosro Isfahani, research director for the National Union for Democracy in Iran (NUFDI), told the People's Channel the theocratic regime has been left fuelled by paranoia since the war broke out and is now turning to new tactics to oppress civilians.
On Friday, the Israel Defence Forces confirmed it had struck checkpoints in Tehran operated by the Basij, a volunteer paramilitary force under the Islamic Republic operating as part of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Yesterday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is "delivering crushing blows to the Revolutionary Guards and the Basij". He added: "We have only just begun."

Speaking about the latest round of strikes on Iran, Mr Isfahani said: "What we know is IRGC-controlled Basij militias, checkpoints have been targeted across the country, specifically in drone strikes.
"At least 100 regime forces have been killed in these strikes. Many more have been injured.
"Many, many more are now refusing to show up to their posts because they are scared, because they know that more strikes are underway."
He stressed how his sources from inside Tehran have reported the regime is failing to deliver food and water to the armed forces on the streets of Iran whose job is to "intimidate the normal Iranians going about their lives".

He added: "The regime has become so paranoid that it needs active checkpoints constantly across the country to intimidate the population.
"And these checkpoints, run by the IRGC, used by Basij militia, has become a target for drones. In addition to the fear among the ranks of Basij militia, the leadership of the IRGC is absolutely frustrated."
As a result, the military bases, particularly in the desert, have been abandoned.
"The bases are gone. The cars are gone. Many of these militiamen, even when they show up at their posts, they are sleeping on the streets," the rebel told GB News.

He continued: "They are scared to even go into Basij bases. The bases that have been used for the years to mow down Iranian protesters on the streets.
"This is one of the key arms of oppression of the Islamic Republic, and their targeting can be a major game changer if it continues."
Such strikes, he warned, would spiral into a renewed protest movement, as civilians rally against the new Ayatollah, the son of assassinated leader Ali Khamenei.
However, Mojtaba Khamenei is widely believed to have been injured from the same strikes which killed his father and wife, Zahra Haddad Adel.
Iran's leader is understood to have lost at least one leg in the incident and is believed to have sustained severe internal injuries, possibly to his stomach or liver, leaving him in a coma.
However, the Iranian Government has insisted otherwise, releasing a written message they say was penned by Mojtaba Khamenei. This is despite the video played out by Iranian state TV refusing to show his face or even his own voice.
As a result, questions have been raised over Iran's leadership and which bodies are in control of the war's direction.
However, Mr Isfahani vowed the Iranian people would continue fighting against the Government, lauding the US and Israel for "finally coming to our aid".
He told the People's Channel: "They are levelling the battlefield. We have been fighting an uphill battle for the past five decades.
"Finally, we have a fighting chance, and the Iranian people are not going to let this opportunity in many generations go by. We are going to seize this opportunity."
