The protester who heckled Donald Trump during his address to the Israeli Parliament has released a statement describing the Israel-Hamas ceasefire as a "fake celebration".
A member of the Arab-Jewish left-wing Hadash-Ta'al party, Ayman Odeh, was ejected from the chamber after interrupting Mr Trump’s address.
Mr Odeh said that he wanted to call for the recognition of the State of Palestine and held a piece of paper that read "Recognise Palestine!"
After he was ejected, Mr Odeh released a statement in his office at the Knesset that the Israeli Government was falsely claiming victory in Gaza and accused Netanyahu’s right-wing coalition of exploiting the October 7 attack.

He said: "I was kicked out of the Knesset for raising the simplest demand, one that the whole international community agrees on: Recognise the State of Palestine, recognise the simple truth. There are two peoples here, and no one is going anywhere."
The 50-year-old described the historic peace summit as a "fake celebration", adding: "a celebration of liars who are basically lying to themselves.
"They are basically here to lie to themselves. They are people who did not win the war."

Speaking on why he heckled the US President, Mr Odeh said: "I wanted to tell the truth; there is no peace, no stability, no security without recognising the State of Palestine and the establishment of a Palestinian state."
He added: "I know that Trump is biased, and I know that there are many traps in there, and I know that there is no trust in the people behind the plan. However, stopping the war and the swap deal - we must support that for humanitarian reasons."
Mr Odeh said: "The Palestinian cause became a symbol of freedom in the whole world, and we can't ignore the truth, and we should recognise the Palestinian state and end the occupation.”
