The Australian Jew slammed the public broadcaster for its coverage of the October 7 attacks

The daughter of a Bondi beach victim has spoken out on GB News for the first time since lashing out at Australia's national broadcaster for its "biased reporting" while live on air.

Victoria Teplitsky's 86-year-old father, who is a Holocaust survivor, was shot while trying to escape the two gunmen during the horrific terror attack on Sunday at the popular Sydney hotspot.

He has since undergone surgery and is currently recovering in hospital, his daughter confirmed to the People's Channel.

Following the massacre, Ms Teplitsky was invited to be interviewed live on the taxpayer-funded ABC and subsequently delivered a scathing assessment of the broadcaster's coverage.

When asked by a presenter how she felt after the shooting, Ms Teplitsky hit out at both the Government as well as the national broadcaster - and soon went viral online.

"How are we feeling? Is this what you wanted? Is this enough now? Will you listen to us?" she replied to the host.

She added: "ABC, I've got to say, will you cut out the biased reporting... will you cut it out? Will you let us have a voice?"

Now, on GB News, the Australian spoke out for the first time since the viral interview, telling presenters Miriam Cates and Andrew Pierce: "We don't get a voice.

"I mean, the reality is I don't know what the world thinks. I think the impression is that, you know, Jews control the media, Jews control everything.

"And they must think there's a lot of us. We are a tiny minority."

She added: "What I understand, with algorithms and such, we can't get heard really on social media.

"So we look to mainstream media to do what they are supposed to do with integrity and tell the truth - both sides of the truth without bias.

"And the ABC has definitely not done that. The only reason I agreed to do that interview with the ABC is because I knew it was live.

"Because the reality is, if it wasn't live, what I said would have never been heard. We get shut down."

But Ms Teplitsky said the Jewish community had undergone a marked shift in the country, blaming reporting in the wake of the October 7 Hamas attack.

In the ABC interview, she said: "We feel that it's part of the reason that the Jewish people have experienced such a massive change in Australia.

"I'm Aussie. I'm not a religious Jewish woman but since October 7, since all the hatred that's been thrown at us, I started to wear my Magen David [Star of David necklace] because I'm Jewish.

"If you have something to say, you can say it to me. ABC, please stop with the biased reporting."

Since the terror attack on Sunday, Australia has luanched a radical crackdown on "hate speech" after the fatal shooting that claimed the lives of 15 people, including a 10-year-old girl.

The Australian Government has been hit with furious criticism over its treatment of antisemitism since October 2023.
