The emergency landing is the fourth Boeing related incident in just three days

A Boeing 737 plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Japan this morning just minutes after taking off.

The United Airlines Flight with 50 passengers onboard returned to Fukuoka Airport before the runway was closed for routine safety checks.

The incident is the fourth Boeing related incident in just three days.

Police have said that nobody was injured and it is believed the cause may have been an irregularity with a wing flap.

Officers have launched an investigation into the incident.

It comes just one day after a Boeing 737 skidded off an airport runway and its wing burst into flames.

The horror took place at Blaise Diagne Airport near the Senegalese capital of Dakar on Thursday, with footage showing the Transair plane covered in fire-suppressing foam.

Eleven people were injured when a failed takeoff led to it hurtling off the tarmac and crashing into a bush.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

Earlier this week, a Boeing plane smashed in a runway in Turkey after its landing gear failed.

The pilot on the flight - operated by US postal service FedEx - realised the landing gear was malfunctioning after taking off from Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport.

Footage shows the plane performing an emergency landing as it smashes into the runway.

Horror video footage also shows sparks and smoke funnelling from underneath the plane.

Boeing is already under fire amid safety concerns, suspected quality control issues and the deaths of whistleblowers.

An investigation into the firm was opened by The US Federal Aviation Administration on Monday.

It comes after two whistleblowers involved in a dispute with Boeing died just months apart from each other earlier this year.
