A billboard displaying a birthday message for the Indian Prime Minister has appeared at a Wiltshire service station.
The unexpected tribute to Narendra Modi was on display at Leigh Delamere services on the M4, around 4,000 miles away from New Delhi.
The Indian leader turned 75 years old today.
Alongside a picture of Mr Modi, a message on the digital billboard read: "Warm birthday wishes to Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi Ji."
Leigh Delamere is in the list of the top 20 best service stations, according to the AA, ranking at number 12.
The research found that the motorway services had a customer score of 57 per cent.
It has previously made cameo in the BBC sitcom Gavin and Stacey.
One bewildered driver, who stopped at the service station for 15 minutes, told GB News: "I mean it’s a bit of a shock to just pick up some snacks for the road and see a happy birthday message to a Prime Minister 4,000 miles away.
"A birthday message to Keir Starmer is one thing and people perhaps won’t like that, but I think this will come as a bit of a surprise."
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
According to Office for National Statistics (ONS) census data recorded in 2021, just 2.1 per cent of Wiltshire residents identified their ethic group as Asian, Asian British or Asian Welsh.

The percentage of people who identified their ethnic group as in the "Black, Black British, Black Welsh, Caribbean or African" category increased from 1.1 per cent in Wiltshire in the same year.
