Clear intervals tonight with possible frost in parts in south and east along with a few fog patches

Today:

Frosty start for much of England and Wales with patches of freezing fog, slow to clear in some parts of central and southern England. Else, variable cloud and sunny spells, but windier with some rain in far northwest later.


Tonight:

Clear intervals with possible frost in parts in south and east along with a few fog patches. Windier north and west, with bands of cloud and rain moving southeastwards.

Wednesday:

Bands of cloud and patchy rain moving southeast, then colder and windy with sunny spells and scattered showers, these wintry in the north.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Cold on Thursday with sunny spells, isolated showers for the east coast. Turning milder in the north with some rain in the northwest. Settled in the south with overnight frost.
