This weekend's Festival of Remembrance hosted by the Royal British Legion was ended with a spontaneous rendition of ‘Land of Hope and Glory’.
The ceremony, which took place at the Royal Albert Hall in London, was attended by King Charles and his family, including Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales and Princess Anne.
The annual event on Remembrance weekend honours the servicemen and women who lost their lives in their line of duty, and marks the end of the First World War.
Performing at the festival was the military orchestra and Bach Choir, as well as pop stars Mica Paris, Calum Scott, Chelsea Pensioner Colin Thackery, Alfie Boe and Katie Melua.

Following the broadcast of the event by the BBC, the band and orchestra began to play a spontaneous musical number, choosing ‘Land of Hope And Glory’.
The ensemble's music rang through the hall as audience members and special guests, including the royal family, began to leave.
In footage shared by GB News Political Editor Christopher Hope, the stunning music was met with applause by those who were left in the hall to witness the surprise performance.
Posting the footage to X, formerly Twitter, Hope said: "Tonight, after the BBC’s cameras were turned off at the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance and the King and other royals had left the Royal Albert Hall, the military orchestra and the Bach Choir played and sang an impromptu ‘Land of Hope And Glory’ and we joined in."
Social media users were quick to praise the orchestra and choir for their performance, with one calling the music "wonderful".
Another said: "How wonderful was that. I bet the King would have loved to hear it."
Others were quick to criticise the BBC for not broadcasting the end of the festival. One X user hit out at the broadcaster: "Why did BBC turn the cameras off? Guess we have no hope when they control what the majority of the UK are proud of.
"Wow the military orchestra and Bach Choir did this."

Another was in agreement, fuming: "Should have done it when the cameras were on!"
One user also criticised host Clare Balding, saying: "I watched the whole show and was surprised by how abrupt it ended; with Clare just cutting everything short!"
