Former colleagues of murdered conservative influencer Charlie Kirk have vowed to lead a boycott of the Oxford Union if its president-elect is not ousted.
The prestigious debating society has faced intense pressure to oust incoming president George Abaraonye after he shared messages appearing to celebrate the shooting of Mr Kirk last month.
Leaked messages from a WhatsApp group chat appeared to show Mr Abaraonye say: “Charlie Kirk got shot, let’s f****** go".
A separate message, believed to have originated from his Instagram account, read: “Charlie Kirk got shot loool" - an elongated version of the "laugh out loud" acronym.

| OXFORD ACSMr Abaraonye is currently awaiting the results of a no confidence vote which was held on Saturday.
The outcome was expected to be published by Sunday night, however it is believed the process was delayed due to identity checks taking place for proxy votes cast by former members.
Now, Mr Kirk's ex-colleagues have pledged to mobilise US politicians to boycott the Oxford Union if the final-year philosophy, politics and economics student is not removed.
On Friday's episode of The Charlie Kirk Show podcast, the murdered influencer's allies said if Mr Abaraonye was not ejected, it would “signal to the world that the Oxford Union has chosen ideology over integrity”.

Mikey McCoy, Mr Kirk’s former chief of staff and a senior Turning Point USA official, read an open letter to the Oxford Union on behalf of himself and two of the murdered influencer's closest allies.
The letter accused the prestigious debating society of overseeing a decline in morality, which sees “presidents of the union publicly celebrate the assassination of a political opponent”.
It also noted that if members vote against removing Mr Abaraonye from his post, Mr Kirk's former colleagues will “personally contact every American political speaker who has ever graced the union’s chamber and urge them never again to lend their name, time or reputation to that institution that has betrayed its founding ideals”.
The open letter read: “If this vote fails, the Oxford Union will have proven that it is no longer the last bastion of free speech, but has instead become a place of destructive conversation, corrosive not only to society but to the human spirit, soul and conscience."

The boycott threat could make it much harder for the Oxford Union to attract speakers from the Trump administration

It emerged on Saturday that some officials within the Oxford Union fear the comments may have permanently tarnished the reputation of the prestigious debating society.
One official told The Telegraph: “Honestly, it feels like it’s [the union] lost its identity. We’re used to controversy but this has been complete and utter turmoil.
"I’m worried if George Abaraonye stays, there will be no future for the union.
“How can you have a free speech society where the incoming president celebrates the death of a free speech activist?”
Another source told the newspaper that up to 40 speakers scheduled to take part in debates have pulled out in direct response to Mr Abaraonye's comments.
It is understood that one of the high-profile speakers to have withdrawn is Candace Owens, a close friend of Mr Kirk and a prominent conservative commentator.
A donation thought to be around £500,000 has been frozen, and other backers have warned they may pull their support if Mr Abaraonye stays in his role.
