A video from children’s show CoComelon featuring two dads and a boy in a dress has sparked a woke row online.

The Netflix show, which is its most popular for babies and toddlers aged 2+, released a new episode which features the polarising characters.

In the episode, a boy dances around a room in a dress for his two gay dads, who encourage him to “just be himself”.

The young boy struggles with what outfit to wear to dance in. He picks up a shirt and hoodie before putting them down and instead choosing a tiara and a tutu to wear.

The boys’ parents, who notice their child’s confusion over what to wear, tell him: “When you’re trying to decide, think about all the things you like to do, just be you.”

A clip from the episode was shared by EndWokeness today, and already has over 2,000 replies and 3,000 shares.

Social media users flocked in their thousands to share their opinion on the polarising video.

Some were dismayed at the Netflix show, declaring that they would not be showing it to their children.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

One said: “Things my kid won’t be watching.”

Another added: “CoComelon needs to be taught that most people don't stand this woke nonsense, especially the parents.”

A third said: “Bookmarking this to never ever allow this to be watched within 100 ft radius of my children.”

A fourth said that this type of content will harm children: “Our kids will turn out so horribly you can‘t even imagine,” they said.

Meanwhile others thought the reactions and threats to boycott the show were excessive.

One said: “People mad about this need to get a life.”

Another chimed in: “As if the toddlers even care about the couple, they just want the stimulation & music.”

“Grown adults crying and threatening to boycott Cocomelon cause they have a gay couple on the show. They’re mad about a show for toddlers btw,” said a third.

A fourth stated: “Bigots are mad because the new Cocomelon series on Netflix has two gay dads.

“They say they hate it because it’s woke but honestly I think they're all just triggered at seeing a child have a loving relationship with two dads when they didn't even get one.”
