Jenner considers herself a 'trans person' and not a woman

Caitlyn Jenner has claimed transgender women are “not real women” in an interview with John Cleese.

Speaking on The Dinosaur Hour, the media personality said that she considers herself a “trans person” and not a woman.

Jenner came out as transgender in 2015 and has appealed for trans acceptance since.

But she does not think this grants her the status of being a woman, despite “everything changing” since she came out.

“This is the way I look at my life”, she said.

“I have had everything changed. Birth certificate, gender marker F, everything’s changed.

“Driver’s license, my name. I haven’t used the men’s room in million years and probably never will and have never had a problem.

“I go in there, I’m respectful of other women that are there. Certainly a lot of them will know who you are and I go in and do my business and go out.

“If someone starts a conversation, I will have a conversation with them.”

Despite the radical changes to her every day life, Jenner admits that she still does not consider herself a woman.

“I live my life as a woman, but I’m not”, she said.

“I consider myself a trans person. That’s who I am and what I’m interested in.”

Her stance has not been accepted by many, with Jenner arguing that “a lot of woke people aren’t very kind” when criticising her.

“Being gender dysphoric has been around throughout humanity. This is nothing new”, she said.

“Nobody ever talked about it before. They keep their mouth shut and they go through life.”

Quizzed by John Cleese about there not being a “certain openness and acceptance” of trans people in society, Jenner said it does not concern her.

“You know what?”, she asked.

“I’ll just wake up in the morning and I’ll just be myself all day.”
