Democratic leaders in the US Senate have unveiled a $118billion bill that would boost border security and provide wartime aid for Israel and Ukraine

Michael Knowles has explained that border security "doesn't apply" and explained that the name of the border security bill is a farce.

It comes as Democratic leaders in the US Senate unveiled a $118billion bill that would boost border security and provide wartime aid for Israel and Ukraine

The bill intends to give the government emergency powers to refuse entry to migrants crossing the border or to quickly expel those who have already entered the US.

The bill also gives the president the power to shut the southern border with Mexico if more than 4,000 migrants attempt to cross the border in a week.

Speaking on GBN America with Patrick Christys, Knowles said: "Border security bill does not apply to the bill before Congress because the bill does nothing to secure the border.

"All our border security bill does is open up the border. So perhaps the illiteracy here is on the part of Chuck Humor and Mitch McConnell.

"But whoever came up with this silly phrase, it certainly doesn't apply the the bill has somehow managed to lower my estimation of Republicans in Congress, which I thought could not be any lower.

"A lot of the money goes to Ukraine, and then the rest of the money goes toward letting in even more illegal aliens, along with more illegal immigrants.

"The only purpose of the bill is for Joe Biden to be able to share some of the blame for this deeply unpopular migration crisis with Republicans.

"Of course, leave it to the Republicans to do everything in their power to take the bait."

He added: "I remember a few years ago when there were 2,000 migrants coming across the border a day.

"We said this was an unprecedented historic crisis, a national emergency and invasion. For goodness sake, what this bill would do was set a specified limit of 5,000 per day for seven days.

"So you would need 35 thousand illegal aliens registered as coming across the border per week to begin to exercise this authority to shut down the border.

"Or you would need 8,500 in one day. But it's even more ridiculous than that because the president would only be able to exercise this authority to shut down the border for a handful of days per year.

"So the net effect of this would be, among all of the other tripe in the bill, would be to massively expand illegal immigration.

"Which is what the Democrats want in the long term because they think it will give them a permanent electoral majority. And they might be right about that in the short term."
