Biden said he was ‘overjoyed’ with the release of two hostages on Friday but many more remain in the hands of the terrorist group

Joe Biden has been branded “clueless” by a political commentator over his bungled response to the Israel-Hamas war, as he was spotted ambling along the beach despite American hostages still remaning in the hands of Hamas terrorists.

The octogenarian president was spotted stumbling along the Delaware coast with his wife Jill on Sunday, both wrapped in multiple layers and wearing sunglasses.

Footage shows the president and his wife strolling down Rehoboth Beach and waving at a reporter who off-screen asked the president about the release of hostages currently held by Hamas.

US rapper 50 Cent blasted the President on his Instagram: "hey Joe get the fvck up, we in trouble man!"

Republicans and political commentators also fumed at the clip, blasting Biden for his lack of direction in the crisis.

Posting the footage to social media, the Republican National Committee Research group (RNC Research) said: “Americans are still being held hostage by Hamas terrorists—and Joe Biden is at the beach.”

Political commentator Nile Gardiner added: “Clueless Biden on the beach as Americans are held hostage by Islamist terrorists and the world burns while US leadership declines.”

Former GOP congressional candidate Robby Starbuck said: “Biden had a nice time at the beach this weekend. If there was a soap opera about him, it would have to be named 'As The World Burns', right? Seems appropriate.”

The footage comes after two American hostages were released by the terrorist group on Friday.

Judith Tai Raanan, 59, and her daughter Natalie, 17, were released to IDF forces on “humanitarian” grounds following Qatari negotiations marking the first time Hamas has freed captives taken prisoner during their large-scale incursion on 7 October.

As many as 20 other Americans are believed to have been taken hostage during the surprise attack.

“In response to Qatari efforts, Al-Qassam Brigades released two American citizens (a mother and her daughter) for humanitarian reasons, and to prove to the American people and the world that the claims made by [President Joe] Biden and his fascist administration are false and baseless,” wrote Hamas spokesman Abu Ubaida.

Confirming their release, the Israeli Foreign Ministry wrote: “Two of the hostages, mother and daughter Yehudit Tai and Natali Shoshana Raanan were released by the Hamas terror organization and were transferred to the Israeli border via the Red Cross.”

“They are on their way to an army base in central Israel were their families are anxiously waiting to greet them.

“We will do everything in our power to bring the rest of the hostages home.”

In a statement on Friday, Biden said he was “overjoyed” with the release of the hostages and said they would “soon be reunited with their family”.

"Today, we have secured the release of two Americans taken hostage by Hamas during the horrific terrorist assault against Israel on October 7,” Biden said.

“Our fellow citizens have endured a terrible ordeal these past 14 days, and I am overjoyed that they will soon be reunited with their family, who has been wracked with fear.

“These individuals and their family will have the full support of the United States government as they recover and heal, and we should all respect their privacy in this moment.”
