Multiple American universities have been forced to close after they received a series of bomb threats.
Students across campuses have evacuated from universities and been told to stay away from the area.
Towson University, Morgan State University, Case Western Reserve University, Nazareth University, Alabama A&M University, and the Elvey Building at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, in the US, all reported bomb threats today.
The Towson University Police Department deployed an emergency notification about the bomb threat received.

Police said students "should evacuate if in that building", emphasising that the situation "is not a drill".
Maryland Congresswoman Sarah Elfreth said on X: "My team and I are monitoring the bomb threats at Towson University and Morgan State.
"Please continue to follow the guidance of local law enforcement: evacuate and remain clear of the area.
"As a proud Towson Tiger and former professor, my heart is with our students, educators, and staff. Every student deserves to feel safe on their campus."

Nazareth University received reports of several bomb threats

Alabama A&M University alerted students on social media, writing in an X post: "ALERT: University officials and safety authorities are aware of a bomb threat received by Alabama A&M University.
"Students, faculty, and staff, please stay clear of the JF Drake LRC area as the situation is investigated. Please monitor Bulldog Alerts and campus emails for further information and updates."
Nazareth University, located in upstate New York, reported bomb threats this morning, as K9 units were sent to investigate the scene near the library.
Delaware State University cancelled classes today, with multiple academic buildings being evacuated.

The University of Alaska Fairbanks issued a statement this morning after a bomb was reported.
The University said: "Police have received a report of a bomb at the Elvey Building. Prepare to evacuate and follow instructions from authorities. If you are not in the area, please stay away."
Case Western Reserve University in Ohio told students to "follow all instructions from emergency personnel", after evacuating several buildings.
In Texas, police gave the all-clear following an evacuation at Lone Star College University Park.

At Prairie View A&M University, also in Texas, police were called to a possible bomb threat.
Police arrived on the campus in several vehicles as students looked on.
