Zoe Cohen had been invited onto Good Afternoon Britain to give her take on Cop28 and Rishi Sunak’s pledge not to allow ‘zealots’ to dictate climate policy.
But she seemed intent on focusing on other matters, with GB News’ stance on environmental matters at the forefront of the discussion.
Questioned on Just Stop Oil’s position on the upcoming Cop28 conference, Cohen said: “First of all I think what is really important to say is the funder and founder of this channel has major oil interests.

“GB News isn’t a news station at all. It’s a misinformation founded by oil interests. All you’re doing is pushing misinformation and climate denial and delay.”
Harwood snapped back: “In that case, why did I spend quite a lot of my time last year arguing to legalise onshore wind turbines?

Cohen admitted: “I don’t know.”
Emily Carver waded in by drawing Cohen’s attention to “what we want to discuss”, that being the Cop28 conference in Dubai.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to add to his sentiments expressed in the GB News interview, Harwood said of Just Stop Oil: “How these people can argue that they are trying to avert armageddon - all whilst campaigning against effective forms of CO2 reduction - is completely beyond me.”
“Gruel for brains”, he added.
The Cop28 international summit will be graced with royalty as King Charles prepares to deliver a speech on Friday.
Foreign Secretary Lord Cameron is also in Dubai, attending a number of events with the King.
